I am so excited I just book my first Disney Cruise on the Fantasy in Dec 2016. Any suggestions or tips that you could give a newbie? I'm also looking for information on Port Adventures as well?

We just took our first cruise in January on ththe Fantasy, Eastern Caribbean and had a wonderful time. You don't mention if you have kids so assuming but I had read a tip on this site suggesting to bring a hanging organizer. I found one for $3 at thrift store and hung it on one of the hooks in the stateroom. This was such a huge help. We had toiletries, sunscreen, hair clips, flashlight and so much more in it. We took drink cups for soda stations as a lot of people have posted. We used some but not a lot as we were on Deck 9 so close to pools. The tip to bring sponge with dish soap in ziplock came in handy when we did use our cups. Ziplock bags also came in handy for snacks and breakfast items for in the room and excursions. We also had fun with dry erase board for door. People would leave messages for us and we would answer back. Or used it to communicate within our group too. Definitely decorate your door with magnets. It's a lot of fun and makes the room easier to spot in a see of doors. LOL. Our DGD4 enjoyed having her princess dress but DGD9 not so much. Both enjoyed having pirate costumes. Having 2 swimsuits was a great idea too. They don't dry too fast and are cold when wet. There's a clothesline in shower. One thing we wished we'd taken were binoculars. Hope this helps and have a wonderful cruise.

We're on the same cruise and we're first timers, too!

PP mentioned drink cups for soda stations - remember you can not fill your reusable cups from the soda station, you must use a single use disposable to transfer to your reusable. This is a health protection for all of your fellow cruisers.

Zip lock bags to carry food off the ship for excursions - not permitted. Food must be in sealed commercial pre packaged container. It is easy to grab a cereal pack or cheese pack for snacks ashore.

There is always a lot going on around the ship, read your navigator each evening to highlight the things you would like to do the next day.
