First Cruise! Category Question

I have never been on the Wonder or Magic but we were on the Dream last March and it was perfect. The Concierge service is wonderful. The lounge never seemed crowded or "less-wonderful". You kinda have your own area of the ship to just retreat to if the crowds were too much to take. All of our fellow concierge guests were just as stunned at the service as we were. We are not spoiled or demanding people so we never asked for anything special--that being said, we never had too. It was always there or available and they seemed to be able to read our minds.

Sounds great! I guess I read too many posts about rude people and bad service in the concierge lounges at the Deluxe resorts at WDW and was worried the ones on the Dream would feel crowded. However, just remembered that there is "free food' all over the ship for all passengers so maybe the people do not feel the need to act so 'piggy'/ entitled on the Dream lounge. I would LOVE to try the Dream next.

When the Dream came out the concierge service was better on the Magic Class, but it sounds like things have flipped in favor of the Dream now. Hope they keep that up for the Fantasy.
Perhaps brilliant marketing using "service" on DCL's part? Offer less of a concierge experience on Magic Class so folks will book dream Class? Cabins cost more on the Dream. More $ for DCL?
Folks looking for a kid free lounge experience should look elsewhere, however kids are well behaved.
I prefer the anonymity of Dream Class. On the Magic Class some peek, ring bell and run, observe you entering, assume inaccuracies, etc.
I want a suite, I need a suite, I just don't want any one to know, because I am steerage. :rotfl2:
"I just have a forward starboard balcony" ;)
Having no goodies delivered, and more folks, is less personal IMHO. But I feel the private decks and lounge makes up for it IMHO.

I'm still a bit of a novice at this and my DH does all the booking for our trips, but I can tell you that we got the Deluxe Stateroom with Verandah a few years ago and I wouldn't do it again (unless I had $ to burn). The doors are so heavy and noisy to open and shut that with my kids (DS5 and DD18mo) we only went out there when we were pulling in/out of port.
We are leaving on Friday for our 4th time on the Magic and we actually were able to get two Deluxe staterooms adjoining for less that it would have been for us to get a Deluxe Family Stateroom.
Just sayin'...it's all preference! Have blast on your trip!

The doors are heavy when the ship is in motion. They can also cause the stateroom door to slam very hard because of the air suction. It is good to know that in advance so that you can be careful.

I would be happy with inside staterooms too - as long as you get to cruise, right? And I would prefer 2 inside to 1 verandah (3 kids!) if that was going to be the choice. My Dh is slightly claustrophobic about being 'trapped on the ship' to begin with so he won't sail without a verandah. Fine with me!!;)

Haha! My oldest son loves Titanic history (the architecture of the ships, and the traditions of the time period of the separate social classes. He is always condemning his younger brothers to travel in 'steerage.' :rotfl2:)

My DS loves Titanic history also. He has read so many books on it (well, child-level reading anyway). We also live close to the Queen Mary so he loves to go walk around that ship as well.

He though it was so cool that we will be arriving back in LA from our MR cruise on the 100th anniversary of the sinking of Titanic.
