Has anyone flown from East Midlands to Sanford with First Choice?

They have got some good prices for next year.

I can't help you now Gem, but we are going (in 25 days!!!) so can let you know how it is. xxx HTH

Cool! I will look forward to how you get on. :)

We have flown with FC from Bristol and really enjoyed the flight and the entertainment system was great. We actually rated the flight better than our previous experience with Virgin with the exception of the lower baggage allowance!

Ditto for us. We're flying with First Choice from Bristol again this October :)

Thanks for replying. What was the baggage allowance?

We're flying from Bristol in September - So is the flight ok?

Any bad points?

I think its now 20kg standard and 23kg premier and 5kg hand luggage. I'm sure it was slightly higher when we went last summer as we had booked before the changes and were allowed the increase.

When we flew from Bristol last summer we had to stop at Manchester to refuel and change cabin crew. The runway at Bristol is too short to take off fully fuelled. You don't get off the plane though. One thing to bear in mind is that the entertainment system doesn't work until you take off from Manchester but I think it only took about 40/45 minutes to get there. It does make the flight longer but its wonderful coming home to Bristol for the South West rather than having to travel back from Gatwick jetlagged! The flight home was direct.

Thanks for that - interesting though I will have to see if the East Mids ones are direct - I don't mind having to stop for a refuel though, done that a few times. I just don't want to have to stop and get everything off and then back on again - it was hard work with the two kids last time!
