was thinking about FC for 2008 as we wanted to go for 21 days flying from Glasgow and just read this

The baggage allowance is no more than 20kgs (44lbs) for each person. If you are a First Choice or Eclipse Premier customer, or have booked a holiday with Sovereign, you can take 30kgs of baggage per person. This baggage allowance will reduce to 23kgs per person on all premier holidays departing on or after 01 May 2007. Your baggage will be weighed when you check-in and you may have to pay excess charges if you exceed your allowance.

How annoying! We are flying FC in May, 27th, and would definitely have taken advantage of the 30kgs - it means we can just take 2 suitcases between the 3 of us, instead of managing 3.

I know that a lot of airlines are reducing the max weight per case to 50lb or 23kgs, but usually that means you can take more than one case. If this is per person, we will have to take 3 cases I guess

I haven't received any notification of this from FC though, so thanks for posting.

Just checked online, and you can combine allowances with others travelling with you, as long as no one case exceeds 32kg, so we should be fine. Phew!

this is where I can be a bit thick say you are a family of 4 so that would be 4 x 23Kgs. giving a total of 92 kg. can you then not divide that up into say 5 or 6 bags/suitcases i.e. 4 suitcases and a bag as long as you aren't over the 92 kg. or..... are you now only allowed 4 suitcases
