Hi Everyone

I contacted Disney yesterday to book my wedding. Cant believe its actually happening!:woohoo:

I spoke to Francis and she said that someone will call me back today.

Does anyone know what sort of things they will want to know about? Any questions I should ask?

Thanks

Congratulations!

Actually, I just had my phone call yesterday with Joe. He will be helping me along until I get the signed contract and deposit back to Disney, at which point I'll be assigned a coordinator.

The phone call went smoothly; they do this so often and there is a fair amount of information that is conveyed and then cover any questions you may have. We are slated for a wishes wedding, so I don't know how much it differs from an escape wedding.

Looking over my notes, this was how my conversation flowed...
- went over the information I had given the sales lead (approx. date, people attending, locations, times, etc.)
- went over availability (all of mine were available - yay!). Quick note - fill out your wish book if you can, Joe had already looked at it and had already checked availability based on my picks so he knew when he called me back.
- went over booking dates based on locations
- explained to me flow of times, what would work best
- confirmed what we were penciled in for
- told me that he would be my contact until I was assigned a coordinator upon receipt of contract, deposit; provided contract info
- went over room block info, rates
- explained planning sessions, when available
- my random, off-the-wall questions :rolleyes1

Sometimes I would interject with questions and he wouldn't skip a beat...there was nothing he couldn't answer or explain to me. I had a couple random questions at the end and he was more than accomodating. Within twenty minutes he emailed me my room block spreadsheet and ten minutes after that I received an email with all menus pertaining to my reception and dessert party.

They will take the lead on the call as far as information needed and are very thorough when going over things with you. I had a list of questions, 90% of which were answered while things were explained to me. The rest were taken care of at the end of the call. I think my call lasted between thirty and forty minutes.

I hope my run-on blabber helps :rotfl:, I was trying to include everything while it was still fresh in my mind (and I'm sure I'm already forgetting things).

Have fun!
