Since I spent this day visiting a friend in West Palm Beach, I thought I would just post my experience on renting a car onsite at National Car Rental.
I checked with the front desk about the National Shuttle to pick me and DS up. They said the next one would be there at 9:30, so DS and I hit Yachtsman Steakhouse, yet again, for breakfast. We had a great breakfast and got onto the shuttle with no problem. The driver was extremely helpful with getting me, DS, a carseat, stroller, diaper bag and gift bag all onto the van! We made another stop at the Dolphin and then we were at the Car Care Center. The driver, wish I had remembered his name, was helpful again with getting all of our "stuff" off of the shuttle. By 10:15 I was on the road. Although I used to live in Florida and know my way around the FL Turnpike etc, they gave me a map and hi-lited the route for me.
Had a wonderful visit with my dear, dear friend. She met my DS for the first time! Took the 2.5 hour drive back and valet parked. It was after 10 pm, it was a long, but great day. DH was in the room already; he wasn't feeling good now. Uh, oh!
