me 32 year old Disney fan
DH 34 year old Disney enabler
DS one year old

Sorry for the delay in posting days 8,9,10 & 11, we've been busy with holiday parties and family visits.

Originally, this was to be the day we returned home. But, it turns out that my husband's company had arranged a meeting at the DD Hilton for three days. The first day was the last day of our trip. So, naturally we added those days to our trip and flew out on Saturday the 17th instead.

Since my DH didn't have to be at his meeting until 1 pm, we decided to hit the pool and have a nice breakfast together instead. But, when we woke up, it was raining and cloudy out. We decided to take our time getting ready and had breakfast at the Yachtsman Steakhouse. DH decided to leave by 11 andgetataxi to the DD Hilton. DS and I walked over to Epcot's future world and enjoyed some attractions there. I was disappointed to see JIYI was closed, but will welcome Figment back. We walked through the Living Seas and enjoyed looking at all of the marine life. My DS stood up against the glass as two dolphins swam by on their backs! He loved it! After exploring for a while, we walked over to the Land pavillion. It was raining on and off so I was glad that I had purchased the plastic stroller cover! I got a lot of questions from others about where I found it and if it was available at the park. We saw Food Rocks! DS danced on my lap holding onto the seat in front of him the whole time! I definitely noticed much smaller crowds this week. The theater was only 1/2 full and most attractions weren't crowded at all. After we finished, we went past the Garden Grille. I wasn't really hungry yet, but knew that my DS would love to see the characters so we went in. There was no wait and the characters spent soo much time with my DS. Mickey even sat down to try to show my 1 year old how to color his picture! Chip and Dale were again my DS's favorites. Pluto was a new character for us so I was glad we ate here.

Afterwards, we hit Mousegears again and I decided to go over to the baby care center to change the baby. He was ready for a nap, so we strolled back through the International Gateway. While the baby napped, I relaxed and caught up on some soaps. When he woke up, it was close to 5 pm and I didn't feel like rushing to MGM to catch Fantasmic and then leave. This was the only downside about the parks closing early. With the baby taking a long afternoon nap, it was impossible to make it to MGM in the evening or go to the AK. Since, DH was going to have a dinner meeting and be late, I decided to just walk over to Epcot again.

We strolled through France and I found a great glass cutting board with a Van Gogh painting on it for my friend that I will be visiting the next day. Wish I had bought one for myself too! We went into Japan and I spent a long time exploring the shops there. I found the "Lucky Cats" that I have heard people describe here. I bought a bunch of them for some family and friends. Then, I ate at the fast food Japanese restaurant. The baby enjoyed the rice and broccoli. He loves green vegetables!

By now it was 6:25 and TOD was about to begin. We had no problem finding a prime spot to watch it. The baby enjoyed it again and lots of the puppeteers and dream catchers came over to him. I got some great pictures this time! I stopped back at France to get some dessert. The baby and I just enjoyed the lights and the quiet time together. He loved watching the fountains in France change colors. I saw a lot of Living Statues out this trip, but unfortunately, didn't stay to watch long because the stroller was too low and the baby couldn't see anything. We headed back to the YC because tomorrow I had to pick up the rental car and was driving to West Palm Beach to visit a dear friend of mine.

DH came back around midnight. They had dinner and then went to PI. He said it was fun. That's one part of Disney that I've never been too. I'd like to try it one time when we return.

A great Disney Day with my little one!

I know how hectic this time of year is, but I'm glad you were able to add the rest of your TR's! I'm enjoying reading about your fun with your little one.

171 days to go till I go 'home' to FW

We really enjoyed both our lunch and the character interaction at the Garden Grille. How nice that you got to extend your trip because of your dh's work.
