So far I'm loving my Cannon Rebel XTi, I'm pretty happy with my first try. Next time I'll stand a bit further back so I can get all the fireworks in and have nothing out of the frame. :lovestruc

WOW these are fantastic shots! Just recently bought the same camera and am hoping and praying that our pics in Sept come out half as good as your's!!! :thumbsup2

Those are pretty great "attempts"! :goodvibes Thanks for sharing - I especially like the 3rd one. :thumbsup2

Where where you standing?

Thank you both. I can't believe I've had the camera since early March and this is the first time I've brought it to MK. Hoping to go back again soon for more.

Those are great!!! I love them all! My first attempt at fireworks with my Canon S3 were good for me - but seeing yours - WOW!!!! :worship: :thumbsup2

Wow those are really fantastic pics, were did you stand to take them, and did you use a tripod or a trash can?

I am also wondering where you were standing to take these. How far back on Main Street were you? I always feel like I'm going to be too far back an then once the show starts I wish I was back further. I just can't find the right distance.

I was standing just off the curb on Main Street to the left of Casey's. I used a tripod (just standard $20 Walmart kind), I set my camera to AV so it adjusted the shutter speed for me, turned the ISO down to 100 and let it rip. I used the kit lens, 18m-55m.

You did REALLY well. I am very impressed. Awesome shots, and I sincerely mean that. :thumbsup2

Wow! They're beautiful...I could sure take some lessons from you..

Excellent job. Looks like you hit the nail on the head the first time. Well done!

WOW :worship: Do you have further info for us...like the aperature that your used???
Was just going to ask the very same question.

How high was the tripod, and what length was the lens set at?

BTW - some cracking shots:thumbsup2

These are the sort of Photo's I would like to take.

I've just got to decide which Camera to buy!!!!

I was thinking of a Sony, as I already have a wide angle and a big zoon lense.

Need to get myself off to the camera shop to try a few out first.
