Everyone was so helpful to me in planning this most recent trip to WDW. We got home last night and even though we were exhausted, I'd be ready to go again tomorrow! I may have to break this up as we did a LOT of eating during this trip but I hope my opinions may help with someone else's decisions. My family consists of me (38) DH (41) DS (13) and DD (16). We were also joined on occasion by my parents (59 and 60) and my brother (35). We ate all breakfasts (except one) in the room as we are not big breakfast eaters.

Day One (12/23) arrived at Pop Century about 7pm. We had "night only" reservations so we didn't have park tickets. My parents met us in the POP food court where we picked up some dinner. I was pleasantly surprised by the selection and chose a chicken ceasar salad. It was very good. I can't remember what everyone else had but I know my parents got the salmon and commented that it was very good.

Day Two (12/24) Lunch was at the Electric Umbrella at EPCOT. We did not want to eat too much as to spoil our Candlelight Dinner package PS for Restaurant Marrakesh. It was fine for counter service. DD did not care for the macaroni and cheese. I ordered the kid's turkey wrap and it really was a very small portion but held me over until dinner.

Dinner was at Restaurant Marrakesh and was wonderful. DH had the Royal Feast and I'm not sure I have ever seen so much food on one plate in my life! Even picky DS liked the shish kabob even though he only ate the meat! My salmon was very good and a very big portion. The belly dancer was entertaining for the kids (and adults too!)

Day Three (12/25) Lunch was back at POP. We had spent the morning in MK but were chased out by the rain. Again, we didn't want to eat too much to spoil our dinner scheduled for Palio's. I just had some chili cheese fries and they were plenty filling and warmed me up.

Dinner was at Palio's at the Swan. What a beautiful restaurant. I was looking for something "classy" for Christmas dinner but not "over the top" as my grandparents (82 and 83) were also joining us for dinner. Disney dining definately steered me in the right direction with this restaurant! That made a party of nine but we had no problem being seated together. 4 people had the holiday menu which was prime rib. I'm not a prime rib person so I got the lobster tortellini (which the waiter recommended) and it was very good and very rich. The waiter/chef accomodated my picky kids by coming up with fettachini alfredo for DD and a pepperoni pizza for DS. The strolling violinist playing Christmas tunes really added to the atmosphere.

Day Four (12/26) Spent the day at MGM. We shared two turkey legs for a mid morning snack and had lunch at 50's Prime Time Diner. We had Sister Rebecca for a waitress and she was a lot of fun. She brought the kids glowing ice cubes with their milk shakes and gave everyone some good natured ribbing. The best though, was when DD tried to hide her uneaten green beans in her napkin. When Rebecca found them, she took them in back, put them on a plate and put whipped cream on top and served them to DD for dessert! I am going to try to figure out how to post a picture because it was really funny!

It was freezing cold all day and we all called it an early night. My whole family was sound asleep before 8:30pm so we skipped dinner completely!

This is getting really long. I will work on part two tomorrow.

Sounds like you all had a wonderful trip to WDW at Christmas. Enjoying your reviews and looking forward to more.

We also went to the 50's Prime Time for the first time last week. I had the pot roast and it was delicious. My 20 year old DD didn't eat her green beans either. "Uncle Tommy" brought them back out with the whipped cream and sang A Spoonful of Sugar Makes The Beans Go Down. I was laughing so hard that tears were coming out of my eyes. I am still laughing about it. My DD didn't find it quite so funny!

Great reviews! Thanks for posting!

I hope I don't make a mess. Can I just post a link to a photo like this:

If that works - that is the green bean dessert!
