well I went last December and thought I would never be able to go back to DL, well after only 9 months I am going back...I think, wait I know I have found a new love. How many others went the first time and thought they would never go back but they did? :cool1:

I guess I was one of those who never went as a kid and thought it was too late now. Hubby talked me into into (actually, he just told the kids we were going, so there was no way I couldnt!) and now I LOVE IT!

I went when I was a teen but did not remember much of it. We took our children last year and loved it. Being diehard WDW fans I thought we would hate it. When we got back I started planning another trip for this year. It is a refreshing change from WDW.

There was a short time where I could not go back then I thought I really did not want to deal with the LA traffic, but those thoughts were short lived. For me it is escapism from what I do day to day and to watch my kids grow up with Disney.

This is so funny because it's my husband totally. We went the first time during the 50th Celebration and had a wondeful time. After we left my DH said it was wonderful and all but I don't see us going back anytime soon. Well we've been 2 more time since and it's only been 18 months. Plus we are going to WDW in Feb '08 along with a 3 night Disney Cruise. I guess someone likes it after all. lol.

I went once when I was four years old, and again when I was eleven.
Both times were part of a bus tour with lots of other people, and both times we only had one day at Disneyland. I have a few wonderful memories of how magical it was, but for me...this feels almost like the first time again!!!

So much has changed since then, and this time we have three days. It is my children's first time (DS9 and DD6).

We have NEVER been on a family vacation together before, except for local camping trips etc... so this is the most exciting thing that has happened for us!!!

We do not have a lot of money, and had absolutely no prospect of being able to go anytime in the foreseeable future, although I've been DYING to go for the past 13 years!!! Then, miracle of miracles...my hubby's Mom has offered to pay for this entire trip for us...cruise from Vancouver, Disneyland...EVERYTHING!!!

I could not possibly be any more excited! I'm so obsessed over this trip and getting every last drop out of it that my dreams are constantly filled with Disneyland... I keep dreaming that things go wrong...it's very strange. Does this happen to anyone else??

We are so blessed to be able to go :) :pixiedust:

I went to DL in 1992 and then decided I was going to check out WDW in 1999. I didn't think I would be able to go back to WDW anytime soon after that trip, but made it back in just over a year (14 months). After doing WDW I didn't think I would go back to DL-I will be there in just over a month.

If only I had more money-I'd love to go back to WDW too! I will just have to keep saving $$.

When my wife and I were first married we took her younger brother and sisters to Disneyland. At first they were not impressed, they hadnt figured out why Disneyland is so great. But on our last day one of here younger sisters cried out "I dont want to leave!" As we were heading out of Main Street. They figured it out! Since then we have been back with members of her family many times!
