First Aid at the resorts?

This is driving me absolutely batty, and I figured someone here would know the answer!

My friend just returned from WDW and he was upset that the Poly doesn't have First Aid. I am talking about REAL First Aid, staffed with a nurse, exactly like they have in the parks. I told him that NONE of the Disney hotels have anything like that, but he insists that I am wrong. I told him if you need First Aid at your hotel they will tell you to go to Centra Care, call an in-room Dr., or call 911. There is NO First Aid at any of the Disney hotels!:headache:

So for future reference, is there such thing as First Aid at the Disney hotels?

I had reason to need First Aid at SSR on our last trip. I didn't need 911 or to go to the doctor. What I needed was a very large bandaid. I was directed to contact the lifeguard at the main pool.
I have never heard of any hotel anywhere with the type of First Aid they have in the parks. The most I would ever expect would be a First Aid kit with some very basic supplies.

Several trips ago, DW fell very ill first night at the Poly. We called the in room Doctor and she got treated. He was there very quickly, but was not on site. I don't think ANY hotel has a nurse or doctor on site. I am sure that a large number of CM's are trained in CPR and that sort of thing for emergencies.

(FYI the trip insurance through WDW paid for the Doctors visit, the part that wasn't covered by health insurance!)

I would think that "First Aid" at the resort would consist of the plastic box of supplies stuck to a wall near the pool, and an AED machine. If I was ill I would go to Centra Care, phone for an in-room Dr., or call 911. I am CPR and First Aid certified, but that wasn't his point. He wanted an AREA at the hotel dedicated to First Aid.

This particular friend likes to fuss about things. He likes to fuss about things that have no merit. He likes to fuss even if he has to invent something to fuss about. So this was him fussing about something ridiculous, just so he could fuss.

Thanks for validating what I was pretty sure I knew!;)

Of course, a good reply to your friend would be: What hotel chain in America HAS a full time medical staff? None that I know of! (the exception is the "recovery" luxury hotels for plastic surgery)
