First “Welcome Home”?

We have finally decided on our dates (yay!) - there is currently availability at our home resort and (from what we can see, at least currently) rooms at the resort/s we would like to choose from. Our 7 month date would be in about 2 weeks. My question is - is the welcome home just a kindness they provide for newbies who don’t know the booking process or are there any additional “perks”? I ask only because the resort the family wants to stay at isn’t available as part of a welcome home booking, but our second choice is. I just wasn’t sure if there was anything “special” about a welcome home booking or if they just basically do the leg work for you? Thanks!

The Welcome Home is a kindness they provide, if needed, for bookings inside of 7 months within a short period after a purchase. There is no guarantee of what resort they'll manage to put you in, just that they'll get your dates.

Since you're still able to book in home resort, they may not even do that for you. It's really intended for people who buy within the 7 month window.

A welcome home booking at the current resort they are selling (Copper Creek Villas) is somewhat more likely to happen, because they can tap into inventory that has not been released for sale yet. For other resorts, they are competing with everyone else for availability. If a room is already booked, they are not going to spoil that member's vacation by kicking them out of the room for you.
