Hey guys I couldn't wait to post and whine this morning. First Friday was my rest day, Sat I couldn't find my sports bra and Sunday the baby woke up! So I finally got to do Calorie Killer this am with Nancy (needs a burger) Tucker. I have to say I loved it. I'm fighting the cold I caught from the baby so I didn't do as well as I could of but I realized that I needed a video to really shake things up. I think I'll do it again tomorrow and then add it to my rotation.

Thanks for the info on the other thread about going to the Firm in NC. Oh would'nt we make a bunch. We will have to come up with an official Wish name for our firming gang! Have a great day everyone!

FIRMIES!
Yesterday, I tried my newest purchase Total Body Shaping Mix. I bought it on a whim for $10 on overstock.com. The jury is still out on this workout. It's a compilation tape and its long - 67mins- with some strange moves. But I finished it and was dripping in sweat, at the end. I may just use it for certain segments, rather than using it as a long workout.
Some of the segments are REALLY OLD and I thought of certain WISHers when I saw much younger versions of our current master instructors. Luvmydogs, you would be shocked to see a very young (& thin) Allie w/ lots of curly hair flowing. A younger Nancy w/ bouffiant (sp) hair made me think of S&k'smom because she needed a cheeseburger back then too.
This AM was almost an off-day, but I enjoyed a little too much w/ DH for Father's Day, so I squeezed in Ab Sculpt before I felt for work.
Have a happy & healthy day! SGG

Morning all!
Today was Total Sculpt + Abs. I've said it once and I'll say it again: This is one of my favorite workouts! I like the emphasis on weight training instead of the cardio overload. ::yes::

s&k's mom~ I'm glad that you liked Calorie Killer! I like it too! I hope you are able to ward off that cold! Take good care of you and have a great day!:Pinkbounc

sueg~ That new workout sounds interesting! I bet it's funny to see the instructors like that!:teeth: Great job with the exercise! Keep up the good work!:Pinkbounc

Have a great day!

Hey all,

Sorry I have been neglecting my WISH & FIRMie friends the past two weeks. As I probably mentioned a few weeks ago that DH bought me a diamond ring for my Anniversary. Well when we walked into the mall that day, I knew nothing about diamonds and the girl didn't show us better rings for us to know if this was a nice diamond or not. I was going back and forth between two stores and ended up getting the one at her store that was $1000 dollars more than the other store. Neither store showed us the diamond with any magnification or explained to us properly what we needed to know about bying diamonds. She told me the stone was a particular color and clarity grade. When I went home and researched diamonds I thought, ok I did pretty good. But something wasn't coming up right. Every diamond that I would look at was priced way higher than what I paid. So that Wed I went to pick up the certificate and found out it was 2 clarity grades lower than what she told me. My fault for not getting it in writing. From that point on, I dug in and learned all I could about Diamonds. I started going to lots of stores during my lunch hour and after work to look at various diamonds to get a feel for what good and bad ones should look like. That Friday I went in with an open (but sceptical) mind. I had remembered that the stone looked milky and cloudy but I had nothing to compare it to and I wasn't shown really good stones. The diamond was horrible and the inclusions could EASILY be seen with the eye. I got my money back and continued my search for diamonds. I also learned from my internet research that the diamond cut was REALLY important to making a diamond sparkle. None of the stores around here could show me an ideal cut diamond. They would tell me I am crazy it doesn't matter or that all the diamonds they sell are "IDEAL" cut. But knowing what i had learned I could easily see by the certifications on them that they were not. It took me several weeks and I wasn't sleeping at night. I found out the Claritan I was taking for allergies were not allowing me to sleep. I also stopped exercising for two weeks. I am going to start tomorrow. I did find a perfect Ideal diamond at a store in Delaware and I picked it up on Saturday. Since finding it, and stopping the claritin I am finally sleeping again.

Strangely I actually went into the 120's. I guess when I stopped exercising I shocked my body.

Here is to getting back on track. It was a very emotional three weeks. I guess because I was spending so much money, that I didn't want to get ripped off and I wanted something nice for the money.

Mel I have to tell you, you sound just like me. You go girl in educating yourself.

Good morning FIRMies!

Here we go bravely into week 18!

This morning I did cardio sculpt blaster with Lisa Kay. Great work out and I didn't feel like it was killing me like usual. In case I forgot to mention it in yesterday's post, I'm down another 1.5 pounds and I've claimed my beautiful new 65 pound clippie!

s&k'smom - I want calorie killer! I wonder if I searched for it on Ebay if I could find it. You guys are just the best to give us your reviews of this work outs so we can pick the right ones for us. I also think if the women of WISH ever showed up at the FIRM studio, we'd have a rocking great time!!! It gives me something to work toward!

sue - you did a 67 minute work out? You go girl! It sounds intense. Thanks for letting us know Nancy has always needed to eat a burger. When I look at Lisa Kay in the older video I have, she looks a little thick so I was wondering if there was a time when Nancy may have been heavier, guess not! :)

Tracy - way to go with your work out! I am one that prefers the cardio segments over the weight segments but do like that the FIRM incorporates both together. I also secretly love the work outs that don't have leg presses in them! Bad of me, I know but those leg presses are killers! My sister was watching me yesterday do them with the whole 14 inch step and all she could say was "wow"!

Melanie - it's so nice to have you posting with us! We were concerned about you! I'm glad the situation with your new diamond was finally resolved. What a hassle, but I'm sure your stone is beautiful! It's nice to have you back with us again!

:wave2: I did Calorie Killer today with Nancy also. What a workout. I at first didn't like it, then as the tape progressed, it was o.k. I didn't think it was doing anything and thent he sweat broke in. WOW. Everytime I stand up now a muscle screams. I think I'm gonna feel this in the morning,

Okay, now I really want this calorie killer work out! I know, I must be a glutton for punishment. :)

Lisa~ I just wanted to let you know that the Walmart near where I live had the Calorie Killer video for about $5-$6. That's where I got mine.::yes:: It is a great workout! Have a great day!

Hi Everyone,

I am new to this whole thing. I just finished my first FIRM workout, Total Sculpt plus Abs. Man am I feeling it. :faint: I can't wait until I learn the program better some of the steps using the fanny lifter I was so confused I just ended up doing my own thing LOL

It was a quick 56 minutes though! I can't wait to try out the next one! Yahoo!!:bounce:

Meagan-I know how you feel. When I first started, I was so confused and happy that no one else could see me doing so badly :teeth: It gets better and as you quickly are able to do the moves. Then I realized that we do something stupid, we buy a new tape and have to start all over again  :teeth:

Total Body Shaping Mix had a move called "the bunny hop". I felt like an old fool doing them and I'm sure I didn't look much better. It's times like this that I remember why I love working out in the privacy of my family room. Thankfully, they didn't select bunny hops as a FIRM "signature move".

sueg - Ooh, ooh, I love the bunny hop! Hey, they beat leg presses and squats any day!

Welcome Meagan, we are happy to have you FIRMing with us! The moves will come, don't worry. That's actually one reason I always hesitate to add a new tape. I just get comfortable with my rotation and one of these lovely ladies start talking about how great some new work out is and then I get sucked in and buy it, then I'm stuck learning new moves! But once I master those new moves, I feel so good.

Tracy - thanks girlie for letting me know about the calorie killer at Walmart. I wish they had it at Target because I'll be there on Wednesday after work. But I'll definitely try to make it to Walmart. That is a great price.

FIRMIES!
Spent this AM w/ Lisa Kay & Cardio Sculpt Blaster. It's my favorite workday tape.
I ready to join the Calorie Killer quest. No Walmart nearby, but a FIRM workout for $5-$6 may be worth a field trip.
What's the difference between Calorie Killer and Calorie Killer 2. Is it the equipment? I still haven't bought a sculpting stick--I use a dowel and 2 lb. weights as twigs.
Have a happy & healthy day! SGG

I did some internet searching for Calorie Killer and found it at overstock for $8.79 for VHS. While I was "surfing", I found BSS3 at firmdirect. They are offering all 3 workouts (Cardio Sculpt, Body Sculpt & Ab Sculpt) on ONE DVD for $19.00 (even less w/ the firm believer discount) What is your opinion of getting all 3 workouts on one DVD? DH does segments of Body Sculpt. Would it be better or worse on one DVD?
We have been looking to replace our BSS3 VHS tapes because they are deteriorating. It about half the price to put them all on one DVD that 3 separate DVDs ($31.79 on overstock). All opinions are welcomed! SGG

Hey gang, this am I did calorie killer again. I really like it.

Sueg, all 3 in one DVD. I'd get it. Let me know how you like it as I am really looking forward t getting BSS3 but I cannot use my credit card. It's really, really high right now.

Hey let's think about a get together next spring in SC. I would love to go down for a day or two and work out with all of you. Gotta run as I actually have work to do today. I'll check back later.

Good afternoon FIRMies!

I did super body sculpt (upper and lower) with Stephanie this morning. I'm telling you guys those leg presses and squats are killers! But I know they are doing wonders for my shape so I won't complain. The other day I was reading on another board some women's measurements and they were pretty much in the size 8-12 range. Many of them mentioned that their waists measured something between a 32 and a 36. I take my measurements to figure out the inches lost only but I have been noticing how small my waist seems and I have been getting a lot of compliments on my "figure" lately. Even just last night from DH:earseek:.

I decided to take my waist measurements again and it measured 33-1/2 or 34 depending on how loosely I held the measuring tape. I'm still a size 16, so can my waist really be that small? Strange. But hey, I'll take it! Thank you FIRM!!!!:bounce: :bounce:

You work it Zera'spride.

OK now let's just say we actually do do a wish get together at the Firm. Say next spring after I've finally found another job and earned some vacation time. No kids or husbands/partners. My issue is if we workout how bad are we gonna eat when we actually meet!

I sure do hope I'm at goal next spring because I really want to work out at the place that helps me get there.

I'm sure when we get together that we will be perfect angels during our work outs and eating afterwards, right ladies! :)

Afternoon all. I did the firm body sculpt with Jen and also firm abs with Nancy Tucker. I feel good::yes::
