I just checked the schedule on DL's site. They are listed on Friday night, March 9. Hope you are there that full day into that night to see them! They don't run them in the off season during the week for the most part. The island construction does not affect the fireworks, its just a seasonal issue.

Thank you..we leave late Friday nite....hopefully we can see them!

Fireworks are also just on Friday night during our stay.

Any good hints about where to view them?

Well Remember sort of offers two different shows. There is the main show that you would see from somewhere near the castle hub or on Main Street. The castle, the Matterhorn all have affects projected onto them. However, there is also an alternate location back in Fantasyland near Its a Small World. The exterior of IASW also has wonderful, unique projections and its much less crowded back there. However you miss Tinkerbelle flying (and she flies way more than she does in WDW, its unbelieveable) as well as some of the other affects. For a one night deal, I would see them from the hub. I like to be near the Partners Statue, on the Tomorrowland side. And remember to look at the Matterhorn during the POTC sequence. These fireworks are so incredible, even for a WDW regular used to Wishes. It will start out like Wishes, but then branch off into something very unique and superior!

We were at Disneyland Saturday night and sat in the raised dining area to the right of the path that leads to IASW (in the area where the ooooold boat ride used to be, if anyone remembers that.) We saw both sets of fireworks AND tinkerbell flying without a problem. It was a nice place to sit with low walls, a few chairs and plenty of steps that lead nowhere, but are great for sitting and watching.

By the way, tinkerbell flies all over Fantasyland now, not just in a beeline from the Matterhorn to the Village Haus. I was pretty impressed.

Have fun!

Was tink not flying for awhile?? It seems last year when they did fireworks we did not see her??? My DD4 will be very excited!:wizard:

I'm so excited you said something about the Small World projections. I have seen this at least 2 dozen times but I have never seen it from that viewpoint. We are always in front of the castle or stay riverside after Fantasmi! to watch. You miss a lot of the projections and the castle action if you watch it from Riverside but the fog on the Rivers of America is pretty cool. I also like the twinkling lights on TSI shack. so at least they have done something there too. I'm sure with TSI and Fantasmic! in refurb these extras over there are gone. I'm glad to see that IASW is another great option to watch Remember.

That show is wonderful and definitely worth staying for if you can. It's amazing and gives me chills everytime I watch it.

Wow, thank you all for the info. I'm very excited about seeing it now!

Wow thats great they have done this. I haven't seen Remember since last June. That should help draw more people away from the castle area and into FL. Even when you couldn't see Tink so well, I in many ways preferred the IASW location.

The projections are still shown on It's a Small World during "Remember....", but the projectors surrounding the Castle were removed, when the 50th ended in Oct 2006.

I wonder if this happened since they have had the tarps on the castle. I would be surprised if they removed the projections entirely, as that is so integral to the show. Last I heard there were still some tarps. So maybe we will not know for sure until the final tarps come down.

And add that you will need to stake out this particular spot 90-120 minutes in advance; the show is a crowd control nightmare. It is a good experience from IASW, and you can get a great spot 10 minutes before the show. Projections work better on a white surface, and you can look back for a glimpse of Tink. For one time only, though, go for the hub. Be aware that even if it's calm at ground level, wind a few hundred feet up can cancel the show. You can actually tell if it's being delayed/cancelled by the inflection in the voice on the PA saying "ladies and gentlemen".

A bientot.

Nawwww. In summer 2005 when the show was new we got there 60 minutes early and got a fine viewing spot in the hub. It was very crowded but we were fine, and all of our kids had a good view.

In summer 2006 the crowds were much less. We got there 60 minutes early again, but could have gotten a fine spot 20 minutes ahead of time.

I have never heard of anyone needing be there 90-120 minutes early unless they were trying for a spot directly in front of the castle. And to my mind, that is not the best spot anyways. It is better, IMO, to be on the far side of the hub so you can more clearly see the fireworks and special effects behind the castle.

Good point. I have summarized this here: "HydroGuy's Fireworks Rule" www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1199851

The earliest we got to our spot in the hub last June (third week, extremely crowded time) was 30 minutes prior. Now this was not a bench, not even a curb, just sitting on the ground in the circular drive/walkway type area. We were a party of 9 one night and still all got to sit together. If you want a bench to sit on then yes, 90-120 minutes early is a safe bet but not necessarily a sure thing. We always sit on the Tomorrowland side. I am thinking that if the hub were a clock and the castle was 12 we would be at around 3 or 4. Sort of across from Astro Orbitor. The Frontierland side fills up more so since people coming from Fantasmic all deposit over there. I want to stress again, its incredibly crowded and once the show is over its a human mass of people trying to get out of the park or into another area. But you can get standing spots not too far in advance. Of course you will be gingerly making your way to an open spot and have to watch for fingers, toes, strollers etc!

Back by IASW its just totally different. You can walk up right when it starts and get a good spot. YOu can get a seat on one of the halfwall type areas 30-45 minutes before. I love it back there and there are restrooms nearby which is nice.

i havent seen the fireworks since the holiday fireworks but according to my co-workers, they say that the castle has brand new pyro things. Different from the last fireworks.

We are going the same dates (actually with Disneyluvbug) and I have to get on my plane much earlier than her, I wish I had thought that they might not do the fire works or I would have booked another night with my Disney Package. Do you think I could add on a night or is that thing a no go in Disney Travel Land? If not just an excuse to go again this year, like I really need and excuse!;)
