So where do you watch the firworks from the first night. I'm thinking we won't go into a park so which beach has the best views of the fireworks? Poly or GF? Do they pipe in the music at either one? Thanks for your reply in advance.
Poly Beach is a great view, and yes, they DO pipe in the audio of the shows.
They have ground-level speakers along the sidewalk.
They also pipe the audio to the speakers at the pool.
That said, its no wonder that the PP did not know this, as the volume level is so LOW that its nearly inaudible.
Its been that way for years, and I don't know why.
Here's a photo I took from the Poly Beach-

More Viewing Spots-
You can see Wishes from the Poly beach (they pipe-in the audio from the show but you need to be near the sidewalk to hear it, and its very low volume even then).
You can see them from TTC (they pipe-in the audio from the show) but you are not allowed to stand in the Ferry loading area.
You can see them from the boat-dock and an outside observation deck near Narcoossee's restaurant at the Grand Floridian.
At the Contemporary, there is viewing on an outdoor observation area on the 4th floor.
As for restaurants (you usually need ADRs for most, and they are usually busy during the shows)... you can see (and hear) them at 'Ohana at Poly, California Grill at Contemporary, and Narcoossee's at the Grand Floridian.
