Fireworks Watching from the Contemporary

A few years ago (I believe the opening week of Bay Lake Tower) we as DVC members were able to go to one of the upper floors of the Contemporary Resort to have drinks and watch the Magic Kingdom fireworks from an outdoor area. Does anyone know if there is still access to this bar/lounge for anyone???

The theme parks board would be better for this type of question. The top of the contemporary has a restaurant called the California grill this restaurant usually needs a reservation and at night they have an area for firework viewing.

Thanks. We are looking for a place to watch MK Halloween Fireworks with 2 year old granddaughter and I remembered going to Contemporary when we were at the Bay Lake Towers opening week. So trying to figure out where the easiest place would be to take her. Contemporary was nice since the music was piped in.

The contemp has a few different viewing decks. We have watched from one near chef mickeys and it was a great view. There is seating also, we were the only ones out there. Great view. There is also the viewing up top still that you are talking about. We looked into staying at the contemp recently are found out about the "roof" viewing, although we've never experienced it, that area sounded good to.

It sounds like you might be remembering the Top of the World Lounge at Bay Lake Tower.

This is probably the wrong place for this question - but the answer is as PP said, the "Top of the World" lounge at BLT. As a DVC member, you are allowed access to this lounge as one of your "perks". Bring your DVC membership card and they'll let you in. (I haven't been as we are new DVC members.)

You also can watch from the California Grill, but you have to have an ADR for some point in the evening to get in there. It doesn't have to be during the fireworks....you can eat dinner at 5 PM, save your receipt and come back for the show. This viewing area is outdoors though. If you have access, you are probably better off with the DVC one.

There is also a fireworks viewing location on the 4th floor of the CR near the location of the Fantasia Market. There is seating and the music from Wishes is pipped in at this location, at least it was several years ago.
