DHS is open until midnight on May 4th, with Fantasmic scheduled for 9:00 and 10:30 pm. I wonder what time they will schedule the special Star Wars fireworks for the LTM celebration that evening? Park closing? We will be taking an Illuminations Cruise on May 4th, but we might head over to DHS to see some of this.

9:45p is the apparent answer.

Patty, I'm in the same boat - quite literally :rotfl: We'd have to go straight over there after Illuminations...I have heard that the boat driver will ask you if there's a place you'd like to be dropped off, any chance he'd take us to DHS?

A trip to near DHS is generally a part of the "pre-IllumiNations" part of the cruise.
I'm not sure that the boat's skipper can/will accommodate your request, after the the show, but if you ask nicely and explain your situation (and your skipper has the time) (s)he MIGHT just do that for you.
I'd explain your situation very early in the trip, maybe before you embark, and the skipper might
decide to just skip the pre-IllumiNations ride to near DHS in favor of just tying off in the show-ready position
a bit early, then taking you on the DHS area route post-show (fuel savings being a factor.)
The IllumiNations Cruise skippers are a very friendly and cooperative bunch!

(And, don't forget that an extra generous tip would be in order if that service was performed for you.)

Thanks everyone for the responses. Dan, thanks for the bump. I never would have guessed 9:45 as the fireworks time. Watching from the boat would be fun, but unfortunately, the cruise will be over by then. Laura, let's ask the captain what the possibilities might be. Even if it's the regular Yacht Club drop off, I'm not a runner, but I can sure walk fast! :)

If he can't take you to DHS, have him drop you at BW, it's closer to DHS (you can cut through the pool).

Thanks. That's a great suggestion. I never would have thought of it.

There are so many acronyms on the board, far more than necessary. I've been racking my brain for at least an hour trying to figure out LTM. I finally got it.

I can empathize. It's pure laziness when typing. Next time, just ask and save yourself an hour and a brain cramp. :goodvibes

I would call it efficiency, when so many of us speak the same language. I'm sure many of us work at a place where the technical jargon is the norm--this is no different. If we were purely lazy, I don't know that we would take the time to answer the same dozen questions over and over again at all.

While this is accurate, I have to say for my part, it's pretty much laziness. I've also been in the poster's position where I just could not figure out what was being said, so I can understand their position.

I was too, once upon a time. I think of it as the price of free help. ;)

The problem I have with some acronyms is that they are highly specialized. LTM for example. I was in Disney for over three weeks in Feb/Mar and NEVER saw anything about it. Nothing at all in 20 park days.

I think that most of the abbreviations used here are not used in the parks. They are used on the board. There is a thread that explains a lot of the abbreviations you could look at...or just ask.

I don't mean the acronym I mean Limited Time Magic. It is not well publicized at all.
