Fireworks testing

A reliable Disney blogger said Epcot was testing fireworks last night. I take that as a good sign that if they were waiting for 2022 to bring back fireworks then they wouldn’t be testing them now!

Keep in mind they’ve been testing them off and on for months so I am hopeful but not counting on it.

There was advertisement for corporate sponsorship saying Harmonious would be open by October 2021 .

I would suggest that they are testing strictly for maintenance reasons, such as keeping the tools, board, and electrical functional, the same as you would at home with a lawnmower, motorcycle, chainsaw when not in use for an extended period of time.

There was also a report today that HS was testing fireworks for Fantasmic yesterday

Also, since the barges for Harmonious are brand new, I imagine there’s testing that needs to be done at various stages of each barge’s installation

Hi! I’m a longtime lurker but since I’m currently staying at the Yacht Club I wanted to confirm this for y’all. We arrived Sunday night and when we got back from Disney Springs we had a voicemail apologizing for the inconvenience but that Epcot would be testing fireworks for the next 2 nights between 9:30 and midnight. They tested them for about 30 minutes between 10 and 11 on Monday night. I hope that helps!!!

Yes I heard that from another source as well. Doubt that Disney would be selling corporate packages for something they aren’t planning to honor. They do a huge business with corporate conferences, meetings etc, and in my opinion wouldn’t be advertising for something they won’t deliver. So I think it looks very promising for the fall at least.

It was pretty much confirmed by Chapek on the earnings call that Remy and Harmonius would open during 2021 so I'd say it's testing for the show.
