Fireworks questions

Hey all! First trip to DL is coming up in 33 days! It's been weird not being in Super Planning mode for this one. Hoping to be a little more spontaneous than trips to WDW......

Here's my questions about fireworks:

1. When will the new DL fireworks premiere? We love Remember, Dreams Come True/Wishes music but will be excited to see something new.

2. We'll be in the park on Fourth of July. Will DL do extra fireworks?

So excited to be doing Disney but NEW Disney!!!!

I'm remembering Backstage Pass saying June 10 for the new fireworks.

We were there last July 4th and the show was cut due to high winds. It was to be a different show.

The official calendar doesn't list the extra fireworks, but there have been extra fireworks in previous years on the Fourth of July. Last year the fireworks show on the Fourth was stopped in the middle of the show because of winds aloft.

In previous years they have first shown the "regular" fireworks,

and then they have shown an extra (completely different) fireworks show.

I have heard that the extra show is like the Fantasy In The Sky fireworks redone.

According to Disneyland the new show will officially start on June 12th. There is a preview on the 11th. These are official dates but there are going to test them the days leading up to the 11th.

As for the 4th, like the pp said, they show the portion of "Fantasy in the Sky" from years ago. The only thing "new" about it is that the soundtrack is probably now digital.
