Back in December of 2003 we had reservations at a restraunt in Epcot that included reserved seating in some outside bleachers to watch the fireworks. Because it was December and both of our children got sick, we had to cancel at the last minuet. We are returning this May but I can not remember the details of this "package" and I want to try it again. Does this sound familiar to anyone? Has anyone done this before? Any input would be appreciated.

Are you sure it was Epcot and not MGM? I can't think of anything that would fit that description at Epcot. There are dinner packages that include special seating for Fantasmic in MGM tho. And that would be 'bleacher' type seating. I would check into that.

I am sure it was Epcot but has Fantasmic always been in MGM? For some reason I thought it was at Epcot last december. I may be wrong though.

Yes, there is a show at Epcot..IllumiNations. It takes place on/over the lake. It is shown at 9 or so. But, I don't believe there are any dinner packages that would provide reserved seating. I was there in Dec and don't remember anything out of the ordinary.
MGM is right next to Epcot and Fantasmic has always been at MGM. I've never even seen 'bleacher' seating anywhere in Epcot. Benches scattered along the lake but that's it. As I said...there is bleacher seating in MGM for Fantasmic and you can get reserved seating there thru dinner's at certain restaurants. Maybe someone else has heard about something different. Other than booking an IllumiNations Cruise, I don't think there is anything else. Or maybe a special dessert party.

It must be fantastmic.

At epcot some people eat at Japan, the restaurant on the second floor for viewing, or china sitting by a window. I would not recommend that though. We have never done that, but would be better staking out your on spot. The area between UK and France is a great spot.

I guess my memory is not what it used to be. I thought we were schedualled for Epcot but it may have been for MGM. Since we did not go, I can't say with any certainty where it was. What resteraunts do I need to look at for the MGM fireworks?

Maybe this was during the time when they temporarily moved the Hollywood Hills Theater and ToT over to Epcot to boost attendance.

I'm telling you, this stuff should be classified as a narcotic...

You might be better off checking in at the Restuarant board but in the meantime, I think Brown Derby, Hollywood and Vine, and Mama Melrose's all do the Fantasmic package. There may be other spots tho.

I really think your talking about Fantasmic! If so, we did the dinner package, ate at Hollywood & Vine and it was wondeful! Buffet style,LOTS of food and it was generally very good. I would eat there again. But the REAL treat is Fantasmic! Hope the kiddies don't get sick this time,it's awesome! ;)

To the OP: I don't think you're losing it, I remember reading something about a special seating for Illuminations but it was with one of the packages where you get the "wishes", the ones you get with the Silver Plan or Platinum Plan that offers "special seatings at the various fireworks shows". Could it be possible you might have had a plan like that? :teeth:

Actually, last year we went on a AP discount and stayed at Poly with concierge service. I set up the reservations through them. To save money this year we are going WL without concierge with a package not AP. I think I am going to regret no concierge service this time.
