I posted this on 1 of the other boards also, but I wondered if any DVC mebers can help us out.....
Where is the best place to watch the fireworks on the 4th of July if you are not going to any of the parks that night??
Any help would be appreciated......Thanks in advance
The best place is the party they have at the CalGrill at the Contemporary.$$$$$.We have went the last 2 years but are "protesting" this year as they have raised it to $175/pp Teens were $55 they are now $175. On the 4th Relaxing at OKW. PS at GrandFloridian Watching the fireworks from there. Then we hit MK for the last few hours.
If you decide on the Polynesian,GF,Contempt Get there early!
Originally posted by GCM13 We will be staying at BCV and won't be going to the parks either. Can we see Epcot's fireworks pretty well from outside the parks?
Yes, you can see the higher EPCOT fireworks from outside the park. I would recommend the Boardwalk side of the lake or the walkway between the BC and BW. I also think there would be good views from the walkway between the Swan and Dolphin Hotels.
Keep in mind that a fairly large portion of Illuminations takes place at lagoon level. That portion is not visible unless you are standing in the park around the lagoon itself. Expect about 5 minutes or so of visible fireworks, then several minutes of "quiet" and then 5-10 more minutes of visible fireworks.
We've watched fireworks from our balcony (BWV) several times and they always impress - especially the finale. Depending on where your BCV room is located, you may be able to do the same from your balcony.
