Hi everyone,

My partner and I are headed to Disney World next week and on 12/23 we have a BOG reservation for 6:25 PM and I snapped up a Plaza Garden dessert party reservation for 7:45 PM the same night. Will we be able to make it to the dessert party? Should I hunt for an earlier BOG reservation? Too ambitious?

Thanks for all your help.

1. Yes.
2. Yes. (Like at LUNCH.)
3. Unless you are into some serious overeating... I'd not want to pay for two expensive experiences involving food too close together.

:welcome: to the DISboards, Theok!

You can always try to get an early reservation. The rule of thumb for table service is to allow 60 minutes to 90 minutes. Also you can show up after 7:45 to the dessert party. When the GF and I did the dessert party this past May there were people just getting there and it was well after 8:00.

Seems reasonable to me unless you just take really long eating dinner. You could be seated past your ADR time, so just plan for that when/if it happens.

I’m in the minority on this opinion, but I don’t like getting to the dessert party early or even on time. I’d rather be showing up more in the 8-8:30 range for a 9PM HEA. But, I do the dessert parties more for the reserved viewing than the desserts, so I’m OK not spending a lot of time on that part.

Have fun!
