I thought I read somewhere that Ohannas is a good place to see the fireworks. Can someone tell me if that is true.
Also, what is the best time to book dinner to catch the fireworks?
We LOVE watching Wishes from 'Ohana. They dim the lights and pipe in the music. Sometimes it gets a little noisey (as in people talk while Wishes is going on - how dare they ). When you make your reservations make sure to ask for the main room - they will probably tell you they do not take these type of requests over the phone. When you check in also ask for main room - front window table (they will probably tell you they cannot guarantee anything but they will try). As far as what time to make your reservations for, it depends on what time Wishes is. I would say try for 1.5 hours before Wishes is scheduled. If Wishes is at 9:00 - try for 7:30 reservations.
We went this past April during Easter week and Wishes was not until 10:00. As this was alittle too late for us to eat, we ate at 7:00, were finished by 9:00 checked out the hotel and some of the gift shops and walked down to the beach at the Poly. We had a great view of Wishes. There are certain places around the beach where the music is piped in - it is not too loud but you can hear it. This is also a great place to watch the Electric Water Pagent. I believe it passes by the Poly around 9:00 pm - or a little later if Wishes starts at 9:00. We love watching this also.
