Hi Everyone. Finally we have November hours, huh :flower: Most of my planning was based on historical dates so we faired pretty well with the exception of not being able to fit in all the parades and firework shows so...

On the days we have planned not to go into the parks, where are the best places to see firework shows (outside the parks of course)?

TIA. Brenda

For the Magic Kingdom, the best spot to see the Fireworks outside the parks (assuming you are not staying at Contemporary, G.F. or Poly) if you want to see Wishes is:

#1) The Ferry Landing
#2) Make Ressies at the California Grill and watch them from the viewing patio up there.

For Epcot:

#1) Go to the Caribbean Beach Resort for a short visit and sit on the beach and watch.

#2) Go to the boardwalk and watch.

#3) Believe it or not, the parking lot is a good spot too if you just want to pop in and pop out. Go towards the right side of the lot (facing the park) and as far back as you can go until you get to the first line of trees. There are plenty of spots available from people who have left if you go to pop in later that night. Just park and watch.

For Fantasmic, you really can't see the show at all outside of the park.

Thank you. Where is the "ferry landing"??? Do you know anything about the water pageant? We'll be at AK one night when both Wishes and Illuminations are very late. Can we see the water pageant from there and do you know where I can find a schedule for it? Again, thanks. Brenda

the ferry landing is right out in front of the Magic Kingdom...out front you have the bus stops, then the ferry landing and then the monorail

I dont know where you will find a schedule for the water pageant. You will need to be around the Magic Kingdom's Bay Lake to see it.

Our favorite non park fireworks are:

Dinner at Kona Cafe at the Polynesian, then a nice spot on the beach for the water pagent and MK fireworks. Be sure to check your guide to find out the times for the MK fireworks during your stay. The EWP is constant year round.

Dinner at Big River Grille or take out pizza at the Boardwalk. Tour the BW area on a surry bike and maybe play some carni games. ESPN is also fun but usually to long of a wait. Then Illuminations from the bridge heading to Epcot but still outside the park.

You can't see anything from Animal Kingdom. Also, you can't see Illuminations, just the fireworks from it. Although you could call 1-407-WDW-PLAY 90 days in advance and try to book a Wishes cruise or an Illuminations cruise - see allearsnet.com for information and pricing.

Duh, THAT ferry landing :flower: Shoulda figured that one out. Thanks for everyone's advice. Unfortunately, the one night we planned to watch after dinner at Chef Mickeys there will be no show (Tues 11/29) -- I think it's MVMCP night so now we have a night to get to bed somewhat early
