I have read on this board from many people that you can watch the fireworks from the MK on the Poly beach.

What I would like to know; is it the same as being there in the park, less the crowds or do you really need to be there to get the true experience? Are the music and the booms piped in so you can see and HEAR. I went to a local 4th of July fireworks where we were across a large lake and could hear nothing. The wind was blowing in the wrong direction. It wasn't the same.

Thank you in advance for your response:D

it is still pretty good.

I don't remember if their is sound on the beach at the Polyn or not.

in the parks it is hard to see everything - at the Polyn you can see everything no problems.

So has everyone else. The beach there gets more and more crowded every year. :(

They play the music but it's really hard to hear.

When we were there in May they had sound piped in that you could hear around the pool. But if you were on the beach, you couldn't hear a darned thing. It was so nice to walk to our room afterward and not have to fight the crowds up Main Street.

I like watching the fireworks on the Poly beach because I can just stroll back up to my room when they're over, and you do get a great view. However, I don't think it's the same experience as seeing them in the park, up-close. I'd kind of compare it to watching a parade on TV instead of in person- you have the convenience of getting to relax and watch it at home, but you miss out on the atmosphere of being right there.

The Poly beach has a great view but it doesn't compare to seeing them at the park. No comparison AT ALL! If this is the one chance to see Wishes then don't waste it on the Poly beach. We stay at the Poly all the time and love the perk of having the view from the beach but I make sure to see Wishes at least twice in the park itself.

I agree. If I was staying at the Polynesian then I would watch them there because it is convenient in addition to seeing them in the park.

If not staying there then I would watch them in the park. You really have to be in the park to get the full experience from Wishes.

I agree. Also, there are signs on the Polynesian beach stating that the beach is for the exclusive use of Polynesian Resort guests only. I don't think this is enforced particularly, ut if everyone had the same idea then the beach would be much more crowded and unpleasant for the people actually paying the $$ to stay there.

From the Poly I think you can hear the music in the pool better than on the beach. We have seen Wishes from both locations and to be honest being in the park is much better. We found a great spot on a bridge last time that wasn't too crowded and it felt like they were putting on the show just for us! In addition, Wishes is more than just music there is also a narrative you will also want to hear to get the full affect of the show.

We stayed at the Poly lagoonfront last Dec. Although I loved sitting on my balcony and watching Wishes, it does not compare to being in the park.

Pick a spot close to the exit and you should be OK. I would make a trip into MK just to see Wishes it was so wonderful!

Have a great trip!

I agree also. We stayed at the Poly last week and watched Wishes from the beach every night, but I knew it wasn't the same without music and narration. (didn't know they played it at the pool). So, on our last night, we went to MK to view it from the train station. It was incredible!

We had a LV room at the poly and watched the fireworks from out patio. The last night there we decided to go to the park and watch - what an experience - you can't compare the two. It was amazing to see the castle changing colors, up close, and the music really makes the show, It is definitely worth it to go one night.
