Fireworks from the Contemporary

We are interested in watching the fireworks from the special viewing area at the Contemporary. Do we need to book dinner at California Grill or can we book dinner at one of the other Contemporary restaurants and get access to the viewing area?

California Grill has a separate viewing area you can only use if dining there - chef mickeys, the wave and contemp cafe and all other guests can use the general viewing area

Thanks. Is the general area outside the 4th floor where the monotail crosses overhead and the CG area on the rooftop?
