Search is not working for me and hasn't been for a few days. If someone can link me to a similar thread I'd love it! I'm looking for perks and features of the Poly.

We leave for the Poly in 2 weeks. I want to know some of the perks that we make sure we take advantage of--like can we see fireworks from the beach? Any other fun perks, vantage points we should take advantage of?

It will be my husband, me and our toddler. thanks.

Oh yes, you cans see the fireworks from wishes beautifully from the Poly! My kids loved playing on the beach in the afternoon, ask for a pail and shovel!

We got back about 10 days ago and we watched the Wishes fireworks on the beach or from the pool most nights. Around 9:00 the Electric Water Pagent (EWP) goes by on the lagoon and then fireworks. The EWP is boats w/lights that form different animals, things, etc. - very nice. If your there during Hallowishes you'll see that instead of the regular Wishes - its fantastic - both are really but I really liked Hallowishes. Seemed like it had more of a finale.

Have a great time.

Just my personal list of perks -- the theme, the committment to cultural exchange (if you have little ones, don't miss storytime or crafts in the lobby), the extras (torch-lighting ceremony, real hula dance class), the kitsch (Lapu Lapus served in a pineapple at the Tambu Lounge, Hawaiian music piped in under water in the Volcano Pool, coconut races at Ohana), and the location (monorail resort that is an easy walk to the TTC).

Yes as others have noted it is not the highest-end luxury resort either outside or inside Disney (have to give GF props there), but it is, along with the CR and WL, one of the original resorts in WDW. Along with AKL and WL it is in the best class of themed resorts that so commits to its theme in every way possible.

From your first "Aloha" to your last "Mahalo", it is truly a magical place within the most magical place. For our family, it is simply a continuation of the fantasy while we are not in the parks.
