We all know the fireworks shows at the parks are exceptional, but the crowds leaving after the show - not so nice to deal with (especially with young children).

Last year, we happened to be leaving the Boardwalk and were walking back to our car when we noticed the Epcot fireworks over the trees! We just stood there in the parking lot watching. Of course, not the best view, but still pretty cool!

I was wondering if anyone had tips for viewing fireworks from outside the parks? Where do you go? Can you see them well from particular resorts or other areas? For instance, can you view the MK fireworks from some place at Poly, GF, or CR that people not staying at those resorts can go to? Just wondering...

And can any fireworks be seen from OKW or SSR?

On the skywalk outside the California Grill restaurant at the Contemporary Resort. We were lucky enough to watch the fireworks on our left side and turn our heads to view a shuttle launch from the right side. AWESOME!! Be aware, it can be windy & cool at night.

You can only view MK fireworks from the California Grill, if you are eating at California Grill (they used to allow anyone on the roof, but restricted it a few years ago).

However, on the 4th floor of the Contemporary, is a great fireworks viewing platform (complete with benches aligned towards the fireworks, and speakers containing the audio from Wishes).

We've also watched the EPCOT fireworks from the beach @ Beach Club (the low level firworks are hard to see, but the higher ones show nicely).
