Fireworks from Ohana?

We're going to WDW December 5-12th. My sister wants to eat at Ohana and says you can see the fireworks from there. Does anyone know what time at night fireworks will be in December? Are they every night? And when should I make our dinner reservations in order to best take advantage of the fireworks? Is there a balcony you can go out on to see the fireworks? Thanks in advance for your help

You can see fireworks from SOME tables in 'Ohana, but by no means all of them, and I wouldn't recommend an ADR there in hopes of watching the fireworks. 'Ohana runs notoriously behind seating, and you cannot request a window table and just wait.

There is no balcony.

Eat at 'Ohana to eat at 'Ohana, not for hopes of getting lucky and getting one of the very limited tables with a fireworks view. I'd recommend an early seating and then go to the beach to watch the fireworks for best results.

Thanks! We are definitely going for the food. I just thought an extra perk would be trying to time it with the fireworks.

We were there once for the fireworks. Where we were seated you were seeing them thru the trees, so not such a big deal to us.

Agree with @_auroraborealis_, not something you really want to plan for as your main fireworks viewing experience. There is precious little real estate close to the windows and much of the restaurant won't have much of a view at all. My advice would also be to have an early dinner and watch from the Poly beach.

The problem with timing ANYthing to 'Ohana is how notoriously overbooked/late seating they are. People often wait 20-45+ minutes after ADR for tables.

Earlier 'Ohana, followed by fireworks from the beach, possibly with a cocktail from the Tiki Terrace or Tambu, is the way to plan. Gives you wiggle time.
