After trying to book a reservation for Ohana for Dec we finally booked one for 7:30 and wishes is at 8:00. Will we be able to see wishes from Ohana? Is there a special viewing area or can you see Wishes only if you are lucky enough to see from your table.

We have seen Wishes from our table at Ohana many times. Get there 15-20 minutes before your reservation and ask if you could possibly get a table with a view of the fireworks, sometimes you can, sometimes it is not possible.

If you are lucky to get a window seat you should be seated in time to see them. They do pipe in the music, so if you aren't at the window you can still "hear" them.

I do recommend getting there early and checking in, 15-30 mins early is good. And being very very nice doesn't hurt either. ;)

We were just there last week (on a less crowded evening) and my kids were able to run to the window and watch Wishes from an empty table there. They really enjoyed it and it was no problem at all.

Like everyone mentionned arrive a bit early and ask if they give you window table. We did that a few weeks ago and it worked. My girls loved it.

We have a 7:30 ADR at Ohana on a night of MVMCP. I was thinking of walking down to the beach after dinner (if we get out reasonably close to that time) to watch the 9:30 Holiday Wishes. Is that do-able? Can you see them from there?

In past years we watched wishes from the California Grill's deck. Does Ohana have a viewing area?

Nope only if your lucky enought to get a window seat or go to an empty table with a view like I did. good luck

Yes you can see the fireworks from the beach area.

There's actually an option in the check-in register for "fireworks view". We asked for that when we were there on New Year's Eve 2008 and they were able to accommodate us. Definitely check in early, since your ADR is so close to the fireworks time. Our table wasn't right next to the window, but we still had a great view, so don't panic if you're not right along the window. :)

Have fun!
