Fireworks from Contemporary?

Is ther some way we can see the fireworks from the Contemporary? We have PS at Chef Mickey at 6:20 and don't think we will make it back to MK in time for fireworks at 8 PM with 4 toddlers in tow.

There is a very spacious observation deck on the 4th floor that you will be able to see just fine from.

Personally, I don't think you get the same effect seeing them from outside the park, though...

Thank you. We have 4 little children in our group. Would they be able to see from the observtion deck? Someone suggested they would be happier without hearing the noise of the fireworks, so maybe the observation deck would be better. What do you think?

Yes, the little ones will be able to see the fireworks fine from the 4th floor, and if the speakers are working the music will be piped in. You will still get plenty of noise from the fireworks, but not nearly as much as being in the park.

If you get done with dinner a little early, but still don't want to fight the Main Street crowds, another option would be to ride the monorail around to the Poly and watch from the Poly beach. Or, ride the monorail over to the Poly AFTER the fireworks and work your way to the beach to watch the Electrical Water Pageant.

oh believe me the fireworks will be very loud at the observation deck.

but yes your children should be able to see the fireworks fine.

if your kids are frighten by the noise and it does happen - goto the Polyn's beach - this is the second stop on the monrail past the Cont.

the noise is not quit as bad here as the Cont. you can definitely see the fireworks.

What time does that Electrical Water Pageant start? Can anyone go to the Poly Beach? We are staying at POR.

Just to give you an idea how loud the fireworks are from the Contemporary, usually a half dozen or so car alarms go off in the Contemporary parking lot!

However, to get the full 360 effect of the fireworks, you really should be in the park...there is also narration that goes along with the show.

However, if that doesn't matter to you this trip, the Poly beach would be a great option for you. The fireworks actually look like they are over the castle whereas if you watch them from the Contemporary, it is off to the right.

If the fireworks are at 9:00, the Electric Water Pageant will start as soon as the fireworks are over from the Poly beach. If the fireworks are later, the Water Pageant will start at 9:00.

Although the pageant generally follows the schedule below, check with the Guest Services Desk at your Magic Kingdom Resort for times during your stay. Inclement weather can cause cancellation of the pageant.

Polynesian Resort -- 9 p.m.
Grand Floridian -- 9:15 p.m.
Wilderness Lodge -- 9:35 p.m.
Fort Wilderness -- 9:45 p.m.
Contemporary Resort -- 10:05 p.m.
Magic Kingdom -- 10:20 p.m. (only during extended MK park
hours)

Note that when the Magic Kingdom Fireworks are scheduled for 9 p.m., the Electrical Water Pageant runs about 7-20 minutes later.

Anyone can go to the Poly beach.
