Fireworks from 1900 Park Fare (Grand Floridian)?

I forgot to book the Bibbiddi Bobbiddi in MK and lunch in the castle in time, so I needed a new strategy. The woman I was speaking to on the WDW reservations suggested that we do the BB at Downtown Disney instead, and then go to 1900 Park Fare for the Cinderella buffet supper. She said that after dinner we could go down to the beach and watch the electric water parade and the fireworks.

So - couple questions.....

Where exactly do we go to watch the parade and the fireworks?
Are there places to sit there? The idea of sitting on a sandy beach in our dresses is not overly appealing to me. What are our options?

There is a dock and a patio....no worries about sand...both you have to walk out the back of the GF...You will see exists in the back of 1900 PF...Go out back and follow the pathway to the dock or to the patio near the counter service.

We're already here! A 16 day trip. So far we've been to MK, Epcot, HS, and Blizzard Beach twice. We've also spent a couple days just relaxing at our private pool at the house we rented. So awesome!

Anyway, our reservations are for tomorrow, so that's why I'm asking for the details!

There are tables and chairs out there. They pipe the music in also.

So, we just got back.

We are thoroughly disappointed and feel completely ripped off.

I've done lunch at the castle twice with our girls. Yeah, it's expensive. But I figured the amazing atmosphere at the castle made it at least somewhat worthwhile.

But 1900 Park Fare was hugely disappointing. There is no atmosphere! It looks like a glorified cafeteria. And that's using "glorified" lightly. It looked like a cafeteria with a couple of carousel ponies thrown in as decoration.

And the food (other than the roast beef, ham, and strawberry soup) was downright disappointing.

We feel like we threw away $240.

The light parade was fine, but also much less than I expected from Disney.

We were so disappointed in the whole evening we didn't even bother to stay for the fireworks.

I'm so sorry your night turned out a bummer. We were also VERY disappointed in 1900 PF, agree that the food was average at best and atmosphere was non-existent. I hope the rest of your trip is magical!
