Fireworks Dining Packages

So I'm going to Disney in the middle of September with a friend who's never been before. I let her pick a lot of the restaurants, and she picked some of the dining packages for the fireworks shows.

We won't have a Disney dining plan, so I'm wondering what dining packages (if any) are really worth it for someone who has never seen the fireworks shows before? Would we be better off doing stand by?

This is what we have booked:
Hollywood Brown Derby Dinner/Fantasmic Dining Package
Tusker House Dinner/Rivers of Light Dining Package

If you are going to be eating there anyway, do the dining packages.
If you are going to the restaurants just for the dining packages, then I wouldn't do them.

So I guess I should add that I have a Tables in Wonderland card. Since that discount doesn't apply for the packages, it's a decent amount more to do the package.
