Fireworks-DAS pass

Yes it is infront of the garden view area to the left as you look at the castle

Just came back last week. When we inquired we were told it was for wheelchairs or scooters only. Just having DAS is not enough.
So they changed again becuse I was there for two weeks in October and used it a few times

This is what we have been told every time we asked for years, even with just two of us. Outright refused without a wheelchair.

And for parade viewing we were allowed "one" with DS. They would let us all stand but as it got crowded some of us would have to leave and even DS has lost his spot if enough wheelchairs showed up. It was always such a risk we stopped trying.

So let me see if I understand this. We are a group of 4 adults, 2 of us will have DAS passes. We will have 3 scooters, and one ambulatory guest.

Will they let all four of us use the Handicapped area for Fireworks and parades? I often "share" my scooter seat with my another guest, so we'd all be sitting.

It sounds like a yes

The ambulatory guest should be allowed as companion. I know in the parade areas that person would need to stand behind, but I haven’t used the fireworks area.

The number of people they let into the area in addition to the person with a disability is going to vary depending on the size of the crowd and on how many people they can fit into the viewing area. The last time I used one, they were allowing one person to stand behind the wheelchair and one person to sit on the pavement in front of it. The last time I attended a parade in one of those areas, one person insisted that her entire party of eight had to be in there with her. She carried on and threw such a tantrum that the cast members eventually gave up, and several people in wheelchairs had to be turned away because there wasn’t room.

This… I have seen this on more than one occasion. They then scream how their party shouldn’t be separated and that they all should be able to enjoy the parade together. Disney really ought to do something about this.
