Fireworks at WDW

Where is the best place to see the fireworks at WDW? We have been to lots of spots, train sta., by the Castle, on Main str. etc... and still can't seem to find the right spot yet.


Any suggestions??

I personally would suggest going out the front gate, hop on the monorail, get off at Epcot, and stand anywhere you can see the lagoon. That's the best spot to see fireworks at WDW.

I am assuming, though, that you mean MK's fireworks. I personally think that Main St. is the best place. Unfortunately, with how Wishes is set up, you lose a bit of the effect if you aren't straight onto the castle. However, there is one spot that isn't too bad: a little bit southeast of the Crystal Palace. There are some pockets in the trees that afford some good views, and it tends to not be as crowded there.

I enjoy grabbing a table along the edge of the Tomorrowland Terrace Noodle Station. It provides a great clear view of the castle and as a bonus you get a table to sit at for the show! You usually need to arrive here early though if you want a seat. This is the spot I choose for the 4th of July fireworks. I pitied all those people on Main Street.

I am assuming your asking about MK along with the others. I enjoy grabbing an outside table at Casey's. You are still in front of the castle, but just off to the side enough that you don't get trampled!
If your asking about one of the other parks within WDW...Epcot is nice if you go on the far side of WS so you have the "golf ball" (lol) as a back drop.
MGM has it''s own viewing seating becasue it is more than a fireworks show!

Is there only 1 afternoon parade. With the storms lately have they cancelled the parades or do they go on in the rain?

I have found that anywhere in front of the castle gives you a decent view of the FW.

There are really no 'bad' spots, unless you stand below a tree and look up! I prefer to watch them from the poly or bc beach! not too crowded and takes a few minutes to get out and back 'home'!

Thats about right. I've used that view several times and it was really good.

The FW aren't that great if you watch from behind the castle. I tried a couple times, didn't like it.

From an earlier thread;

The SWEET-SPOT for Wishes is: starting from approx. the "bridge to Tomorrowland" ...on up Main Street to the "Main Street Cinema" (Pal Mickey Store).
That is simply the "optimum viewing" area.

I would agree that the area around Tomorrowland is a great place to see the fireworks close up. But if you want to get away from the crowds (especially right after the fireworks), the view from the beach at the Poly is wonderful.

One of my favorite spots to watch the MK fireworks is the Rose Garden. It's on the east side of the Hub, between the bridges to Tomorrowland and Fantasyland:

For Illuminations, I like to sit on the wall of the seating area of Kringla Og Cafe in Norway; the trees partially block the view, but it's out of the crowds and you can still see the globe pretty well and most of the fireworks. But you don't need to stake it out 90 minutes ahead of time, and there's a bathroom right there!

To see the fireworks I think its the best in Liberity square, its ways to crowded in Main Street so I don't think you should go there.
