We are staying at Paradise Pier. We'll get there on a Sunday afternoon, but won't have park tickets for that day. We are thinking of going to Downtown Disney, pool-time and/or watching the fireworks from Paradise Pier. Can someone tell me about watching the fireworks there? Worth it or spend evening doing something else?

We watched one night when we were staying there. They pipe in the music and it's a pretty decent view.

There is an area next to the pool. It's pretty big. Lots of people were watching.

We have enjoyed watching the fireworks from PPH hotel. It shouldn't replace watching them inside the park, but it's a really nice "teaser". ;) They have a large outdoor pavilion near the pool where you watch and the music is piped in. If it's warm, PPH does outdoor movies that are fun to watch at night too. The schedule rotates so you won't know when they play until you check in (or you may have luck calling ahead of time for the schedule). We've also watched the fireworks from our room and the music is available on the tv which has been nice when it's late.

I did not know about the movies.. cool..we have two nights that might be a good option for. Thanksfor info

DS is not a big fan of watching the fireworks in the park so watching from the PPH pool worked perfectly! We sat in comfy chairs and although you do not get the full experience that you would get in the park, it was still lovely.

I was talking to the concierge at PP yesterday and he had mentioned watching the fireworks from the pool. I knew we would be able to see WOC, but hadn't even thought about fireworks. I didn't give it much thought until hubby asked later... I am assuming we can't see any of the fireworks from the room, right? It has been over 10 years since we have been to DL and I am having trouble picturing everything (even with a map) to figure this out. We aren't going into the park our first day and figured we would watch what we can as a teaser from the room (or I guess, the pool).

The pool deck is up on the 3rd floor, I believe, and you can go to a corner of it to see the fireworks. I did this years ago, during the 50th fireworks, and it worked out okay.

We will be staying at DLH, can we still go to PPH and watch the fireworks from the Pool area?

Here are some pics I took from the PPH pool deck last year :) I was standing by the hot tub, I believe. Not too bad of a view!

This is great information and thank you for the pictures @momtohms, they are gorgeous!!!! We too will be doing nothing on our arrival day except hanging around the pool, this would be a great teaser for our kids :goodvibes.
