Is the special parade with the headless horseman and the halloween theme fireworks at Mk just during the Micky halloween party? On nights they have the party is only people who have bought tickets allowed in the park in the evening?

Yes, the Headless Horseman, Halloween parade and Hallowishes are party specific.

The party is a hard ticket event so only those who have purchased tickets to the party are allowed to remain in the park in the evening.

So for MNSSHP does the park stay open later on those nights and if so how much later? Can adults dress up? What do the regular wishes fireworks look like in October? does it at least change halloween colors? In YOP is the extra ticket price worth it?

1. The party is from 7pm until Midnight. At 7pm, day guests without party tickets need to leave. They were VERY vigilant at checking for people without a wristband.
2. Yes, adults can dress up. We saw some amazing costumes. I dressed up as Merida (full wig and costume) one evening and Ariel in her town dress for another (no wig for this as I'm a red head) It was so much fun!
3. Aside from the party specific Wishes (HalloWishes) the nights without a party just have regular Wishes.
4. Personally, we found the parties worth the extra ticket cost. We loved getting dressed up and seeing other adults in costume, the parade and HalloWishes are great, trick or treating is fun (we're not from the US and we don't have Halloween here) Party specific characters were a big deal with us too. We did three parties and had an amazing time at each.

I will add to this and say that, with the party ticket, you can enter MK from 4pm on party night :thumbsup2

And reiterate that it is absolutely worth the extra for the ticket. There are unusual characters, such as all of the dwarves, fantastic firework sand the parade is amazing. Plus quite often there are less lines for the rides as they limit the number of tickets sold - always fun to ride BTMRR in the dark :)

So let me get this right. Since you can enter MK at 4:00 pm on the party night does that mean you would only need to pay the party ticket price or is the party ticket price in addition to the MK ticket price? Or do you only need to pay both if you are going to be at the park from open to party time close?

You only need a party ticket to enter the MK starting at 4:00 PM. If you want to be in the park earlier than that (e.g. in the morning) you would need to use an admission on your regular park ticket.

As far as whether it is worth it or not, we usually go to 2 parties because we really enjoy them. We think the Boo to You parade and Hallowishes are the best Disney produces. The Villains Mix and Mingle and the trick or treating is fun. While we usually only wear Halloween tee shirts and headbands, it is fun to see all the guests in costume.

As previous poster said, if you enter the park after 4pm, you only meet your party ticket. If you want to enter before 4pm, you need a regular park ticket.

What time is all the different activites start? I am trying to see what time would be best to make a reservation for dinner.

Party specific activities start from 7pm. If you want to make a reservation in the park, make it as early as possible. 4:15pm-4:30pm. Last year, we went to MNSSHP and had a CRT reservation for 4:30pm. We didn't leave there until 6:15pm, they were running late and it was very busy. We had wanted to be out a little earlier to get in line for the Dwarves (one of the longest lines of the night) Don't waste party time at dinner. Depending on your plans for the day, you can make a late lunch reservation at one of the monorail resorts and then come to the party. Between 4pm-7pm is a great time to get some rides done or meet some non party specific characters (Mickey, Merida, Tiana&Naveen, TinkerBell)

I had my heart set for Tony's shrimp scampi. It was by far my favorite meal any where on Disney property. I will not be there during the day since I will be at a confrence and that will be the only night I will be able to fit MK and the party in. I guess that explains why Tony's early reservation were alreasy booked. I did manage to grab a 6:50 PM but I am now afraid it will cut into the parade. What time does the parade start?

I'd hit the second parade which starts at 10:30pm. The first one is at 8:15pm, however people start lining up for that from 5pm. We watch the second parade from Frontierland or Liberty and always manage to get a front row spot by lining up from 10:10pm. It starts in Frontierland and goes toward Main St.

Keep trying for an earlier reservation (If you can with your conference) Assuming everything runs smoothly, you won't be out before 7:30-7:45pm.

What else are you hoping to do during the party? :)

Disney Princess you are so helpful and I can not thank you enough! The second parade sounds like a winner!!! is the fire works right after that? Are the parades the same? You see I am a newbie to MNSSHP and am really need more info on it to give you a educated anwer on what I want to do there. I can get to the park by 4:00 when it opens. I would like to at least ride mine train (hopefully get a FP) plus my 2 other FP, possibly meet either Ariel or Merrida unless there are Villians that may be there to meet that can ONLY be seen a MNSSHP, get a picture by HM with the ghosts magic shot, enjoy my shrimp scampy ( YUM!!), catch the parade, see the fireworks. Beyond that it just depends what else is SPECIAL at MNSSHP and for this I depend on your expertice.

The fireworks are in between the two parades (usually 9 or 9.30) so you'll want to make sure you see them as they are phenomenal.

You will need to make sure you make your FP+ for after 4pm but before 7 as there will be no FP+ once the party starts.

The Queen of Hearts is usually out on Halloween (we have seen her on the walkway between Tomorrowland and Fantasyland, around the back of Indy Speedway).

The two parades are the same but make sure you are in position a few minutes at least before it starts as the headless horseman comes along well before the rest of the floats.

You're welcome! I'm happy to help. The Fireworks are at 9:30pm. Watch them from Fantasyland, Main St is too crazy to try and get a spot. Most people just stay put after seeing the first parade. Both parades are exactly the same.

Merida doesn't have FP and her lines get very busy. Last trip, I dressed as Merida and I got in line for her at 6:45pm for when her set started at 7pm. We didn't leave until 7:20pm or so. Ariel does have FP+. You can't have FP reservations for the party so they need to be before 7pm.

There are characters out. Most of the villains meet after the short castle show called the "Villain Mix and Mingle" After the show, they come down and meet. Usually there is Maleficent, Snow Whites Queen, Queen of Hearts, Captain Hook, Dr Facilier, Cruella. Frollo is there too but he just walks around as no one even knows who he is (He's from the Hunchback) Their lines get busy and they only stay out 10-15 mins after the show maximum. You can usually meet 2-3 villains max per show. Last year we did 3 shows and caught all the villains.

There are many party specific characters:

Jack Skellington and Sally - They were crazy popular last year and might return this year. People would line up from 4pm and they wouldn't come out until 7pm. Waits were often 90 minutes +. We skipped them so we don't really like the movie or them. They met at the front of the park near City Hall.

The 7 Dwarves meet in Fantasyland. They are only out for the party. Their line starts forming from 5:30pm onwards. Last year we got in line for them at 6:15pm and left the line at 7:25pm. Their line is regularly 60 minutes +

Lotso, Jafar and The Tremaines meet through the night along Main St. Lotso and Jafar are party specific if you're interested in them. The Tremaines meet at MK each morning

Captain Jack Sparrow meets in Adventureland. His line gets very busy, average wait time is 30 minutes. He disappears when the parade are on since he's in them.

The Princesses met with their Princes. With the addition of Anna and Elsa in Fairytale Hall, it's hard to tell what will happen this year. Last year it was Cinderella, Snow White, Rapunzel and Aurora each met with their Princes.

Aladdin & Abu, Jasmine & Genie meet in Adventureland. It's usually only two out at a time. They meet for 30 minute sets. If you want to meet a particular two, it's best to get in line when the other two are actually meeting. There is no guarantee who will be out when you get to the front. We have been caught several times.

Tarzan, Jane and Terk meet in Adventureland. It's usually only two of them out at a time. Terk meets with both Jane and Tarzan. If you go really late you might be lucky and see them all together (we did last year and it's usually like that)

Winnie the Pooh, Eeyore, Tigger and Piglet meet in Fantasyland in adorable Halloween outfits. They are very popular and get waits of 30 minutes +. Often their line is cut for their set before they arrive.

Alice in Wonderland & Mad Hatter meet near the TeaCups. Their waits are usually short. 10-15 minutes. They are quite fun to met, especially if you're in costume.

Donald (A pumpkin usually) and Daisy (A princess) meet together in Halloween outfits in Fantasyland. Their waits are short.

Minnie meets in in Fantasyland in a Witch Costume. Her waits are usually 20 minutes

Woody, Jessie & Bullseye do a Dance Party in Frontierland at the Diamond Horseshoe. They don't stop for photos but you can take a photo with them in the background.

Last year they had a Monsters Inc Dance Party in Tomorrowland. Sulley, Mike, Boo, Needleman and George Sanderson. Sulley and Mike meet regularly at Hollywood Studios but the other 3 are very rare.

These characters also meet at the party but in their regular outfits. Meet them before the party starts or skip them:

Ariel (FP+ before the party)
Buzz Lightyear
Gaston
Merida
Tiana & Naveen
Tinker Bell (FP+ for her or Mickey if you want to)
Tremaine Family
Mickey (he wore the same outfit last year. He now talks at MK!)

Hope this helps!

WOW!!! Now that is a lot of info!!! Thanks a bunch! It looks as if I would need to go to 20 parties to get everything in LOL!!! For a newbie would it be worth seeing the fireworks close to the Castle to watch it change colors? If so how long a head of time to get a good spot? I know you said to watch them from Frontier land but watching the Castle change colors would be pretty neat. Does the Castle only change colors during the Fireworks? Boy it looks as if I may have to miss my Shrimp Scampi from Tony's.

If you really want to watch the fireworks from Main St, you would need to be there no later than 8:45pm once the parade has finished. People really start to pack Main St and most people haven't moved from their spot for the parade. The fireworks are designed to be watching from the front of the castle. Personally, we don't find it a big deal. We watch it from Fantasyland and it's always much quieter from here. Main St is just so packed from the parade, the Villains Mix and Mingle and and the fireworks.

Uhmm , guess I really need to think about it then. Seems like a lot of wasted time standing and holding down a place when I could be enjoing my Shrimp Scampi LOL!!! Thanks fo all your info.
