So I've made my FP+ bookings and now just looking into firework viewing spots. We haven't got any FP spots sadly (I had wanted it for wishes but none left).
I'm basically looking for advice on good, not so busy viewing spots for illuminations and wishes.
It's just me and my BF.
Thanks

Wishes can be seen best from Main Street - back from the castle. If you are too close you don't get the best view.

Robo from the US planning strategy board has come up with this map

don't stand too close to the castle. The hub is not the best area, as half of it is too cloose to get a good view

since you go soon, note that the hub is under heavy construction, with a lot of construction walls up, blocking part of the view

take advantage of your visit during the day to get an idea of the areas where the view is blocked, in order to know where to go in the evening.

We were there in October, which is admittedly quieter than when you will be going. However, we had been at the Grand Floridian for dinner, took the monorail to MK about 1/2 hr before the fireworks. We walked up Main St until we started to feel like we were encroaching in front of people - ie, not being in any way pushy. We got quite a long way up and had an excellent view, even for my 6 yr old, with very little effort at all.

So most of Main St has a great view, especially for 2 adults, and you should be able to get a good spot without too much effort. People can get quite hung up on the 'perfect' spot, but for most of us there is a pretty big area that gives a good view. If I were going again, I don't think I'd 'waste' a FP on Wishes, so don't feel too bvad that you've missed out.

Enjoy!

We love illuminations and have viewed it from all over world showcase. One of our favourite spots is the bridge between uk and France. It's usually not too busy until the show begins. Doesn't give you the greatest view of the globe on the lake but great views of the fireworks and buildings as they light up.
