We are going to the firework dessert party for the first time in June. The electric light parade starts at 9and wishes starts at 10. It says our reservation is at 9:10. Do they let you in early so that you don't miss the first 10 minutes of the parade? For those of you who have been. How ealy do they let you in? How early do you arrive before your reservation?
Any other tips would be greatly appreciated :goodvibes:

Your view of the parade is not the greatest from the dessert party. I would recomend seeing the parade another night and concentrating on the dessert party. We arrived 10 min. early and they let us in. It really is a good time. Have fun.

We went to the dessert party last Wednesday. It started at 9:00--we lined up around 8:40--they came down the line and checked reservations and gave out wristbands. We were allowed to go in just a few minutes before 9:00.

You can really only see the tops of the parade floats but the music is piped in. The desserts are really rich--one plate was plenty for each of us. If I did it again, I might get the wrist band early and then leave to watch the parade from Main Street and then grab some desserts closer to the beginning of the fireworks.

We really enjoyed the dessert party--it was a great view and it was nice to enjoy the fireworks without fighting a crowd.

What exactly is this dessert party? You go to one of the MK restaurants and have dessert while watching Wishes?

I did the dessert party last week and it was fantastic. I will give you a tip, people start lining up an hour before hand even thou you have an assigned table. The check in is by the bathrooms by the Plaza Inn. You will not see much of The Electrical Parade but you have a great view of the show before the fireworks; which was cool and very nice to see. Your view of the fireworks is the best, Tinker Bell flies right over you. If the Electrical Parade has 2 shows that night you can move towards Main Street and the hub to find a seat.

The desserts were so good, it is a toss up as to what my favorite was. It is either the creme brule or the tiramisu. I would suggest not eating a big dinner right before but have something small/light to eat. I can't wait to do this again.

Can anyone give an example of what type of desserts they serve?

Does anyone know if the Dessert Party can be booked 180 days in advance like the regular ADRs, or if they have their own available dates for making the reservations?
We're going in October and would love to attend this, my date for making my ADRs is fast approaching and I'm wondering if I should try to book the dessert party at the same time, or if I'll have to wait.

All I know is I have been trying for a July date and they have not opened up the booking that far in advance. They have told me to keep trying everyday because they are not sure when and if they will extend it past the end of June. Hope that helps.

Cheers

I *believe* that there is usually a three month window for reservations. Early March is when they opened up June reservations (when we are going). If you google 'Tomorrowland Dessert Party Disney' you should find blogs and articles with great photos of the desserts. :thumbsup2

Oh wow, I hope they do extend it past June. It sounds so great, I know me and my family would love it. I will keep checking, especially June/July to see if it will indeed be available for us.
Thanks for the responses :)

Are there servers like at a buffet? Do we tip?

The next question is more for my 16 year old DS, aka Bottomless Pit-are the desserts restocked? Do you just get one trip through the line? Sounds like a crazy question, but that boy can EAT :rotfl:

No...tips not necessary.

Desserts are restocked, but as fireworks time approaches, some thing don't get replenished. And you can go up as many times as you like.

The two times I have done the party, I've watched some/all of the parade, then checked-in.

Curious: why do people go in early...because your tired? Want more food?

We're going in June and I'm so excited!

Thanks for the question about the Tip...I was wondering about that.

What drinks do they offer?

I'm not sure what drinks. I saw drinks in the background of a pic and it looked like they had tea. Other than that I'm not sure. I'm hoping for water with all of the sweets, I don't want a sweet drink. Also, I'll need to cleanse my palate between all of the treats! :lmao:

From what I have seen on different posts they offer
coffee, tea (hot/iced), lemonade, water and cold milk (no pop at all)...
