Thinking of taking DS13 to see Firewall on Monday. Has anyone seen it yet? What did you think?

Boring! I didn't want to see it in the first place, but went with DH because he really wanted to see it. He loves Harrison Ford movies, and he thought this one looked good from the previews. He hated it too!!! The story is very slow and takes too long to develop. It is very predictable, and when the real action finally does start, it only lasts about 10 minutes, and the movie is over! If your DS likes action movies that actually have a lot of action, he will be extremely bored with this one. I actually wanted my money back on this one. The best part about it was seeing "The DaVinci Code" trailer before the feature! ;)

I usually like Harrison Ford's movies and we got tickets for Firewall for tonight's showing at 9pm. It's a dinner theater downtown so we had to get them early and it's the only movie they play (for about a month and a half until they switch to another new movie). Then I looked up the reviews of it and they weren't all that good- some said it was a great, many said it was just like his other movies. A 13 year old might not be as picky as an adult though.

I'll post what I think after we go tonight! We're more going for the whole "dinner during a show" thing than the actual movie- neither DBF or I had even heard of it when we bought this tickets this afternoon! :rotfl:

Shoot. We were going to see it tomorrow.
Should we rethink? I hate slow and boring :(
What is a good alternative? We have seen so many, not much left to pick from.

We love Harrison Ford movies, but this one was the same old script. Family in peril...a good rental movie, I suppose.

I wish we had gone to Pink Panther.

herc.

Excellent movie. I posted about this the day it opened but I think it got lost somewhere. I, as well as everyone in the audience thought it was great! Apparently the reviews where not so good, which is probably why I liked it!
Actually, why I loved it!!!!

DH and I liked it, as did the other couple we were with. It's like everyone says - typical cookie-cutter Harrison Ford family-in-peril movie, but we like those ::yes::. It's not ground-breaking and doesn't have Oscar potential, but it was pretty much exactly what we expected and were in the mood for last Saturday :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2.

We saw it today and loved it! Just like that kind of movie! Quite good. Audience in theater was verey happy judging from reactions!

Just got back and posting like I promised!!

I don't see what the deal was with most people. Both DBF and I loved it. And almost the whole audience made a bunch of *gasp* sounds a few times- the woman next to us cried!!

Maybe I haven't seen enough Harrison Ford movies in the past few months to dislike it. :scratchin

I thought there was a good amount of action and it wasn't predictable... no, it wasn't Oscar-worthy, but it was an entertaining Saturday night!

We saw it last weekend and liked it. It was a lot of intense scenes to me. It's no Fugitive, but it still was good to us. I think the audience liked it too. Now 13 blocks starring Bruce Willis looks very good. That movie is coming out March 3rd. This looks like a great action movie.

We just got home from it. I loved it, my DH didn't. I thought it was very exciting, but I didn't like the ending at all. For those that saw it, how did the family come out from the woods all untied? That was so weird? He was pretty darn physical in that ending scene for his age! I loved it, love him. Go see it, it keeps your attention all the way thru.

It was good. I wan't impressed but I wasn't disappointed either.

(Pink Panther was excellent though. . . go see that one first!)

I went to see it today and thought it was good. We were a little disappointed in the way it ended as were just about everyone else that was talking about it as they walked out of the theater. Someone apparently really liked the movie and was clapping. :confused3
