There are firetrucks down the street again.
They have visited our street 4 times in a couple of months.
Does that seem a lot to you?

The first time it was a rental house.
The second time it was the same rental house, later in the day.
The third time it was the house next to it.
Now it is the house next to that.
Three in a row?!

Speaking w/the firefighters, we found out this one appeared to have started from a ceiling fan that "sparked". The kids noticed an left the house (they are fine) and told our neighbor. The neighbor called 911. Ironically the mom works at 911. What a way to find out your house is on fire!

Even though this last incident seems electrical in nature. Isn't is just weird that 3 houses in a row have caught on fire so close time wise?

Are you sure that the others were fires? My dh is a paramedic/fireman and on certain types of calls the fire truck goes even if it isn't a fire call. Were there ambulances there too?

We bought some land on a main road in our town 2 years ago. We built a home/office. We own our own business and wanted to be more "in town", prior we were on the outskirts of town.

WOW O WOW!! I live at "121" and our town's Fire/Rescue/Police/EMT's are at "100"....so as you can imagine I watch the trucks go by alllll dayyyy longgg!! Now living in the outskirts I thought we had one firetruck, one police car and one ambulance....I could not be more WRONG!!! :lmao:

We decided to purchase a state-of-the-art police/fire scanner. This one was pricey...$500.00 but I now know absolutely EVERYTHING in this town!!! :rotfl:

Get yourself a scanner and you will be all up-to-date!!!!!!!

Sorry I disappeared there for awhile.

Yes, they were all fires. :scared: The one building that caught fire twice in one day made quite an impressive ball of flames. The house is a total loss. It's second floor is entirely gone.

The one yesterday isn't as bad. Just scary for the young kids. It was a 13 year old & his brother at home alone. They are all fine, just a little scared. They did the right thing and got out of the house and got a neighbor. An ambulance came to check them out later, but they were fine.

We live on the corner of the street, so we have the fire hydrant in our yard. You can't miss any action with a bunch of firefighters hookin' up a hose in your front yard!:firefight

I'm better without a scanner...I freak out enough over our tornado alarm:scared:

I still think its weird/freaky that 3 in a row have caught fire recently.

For you Monkeyboy:

Rick: "Let's have a bachelor party with chicks and guns and firetrucks and hookers and drugs and booze!"
Gary: "Yeah! Yeah yeah! All the things that make life worth living for!"

Name the movie?
