I seriously can't do tear jerkers. Seriously. Without spoiling it, just tell me...did it make you cry?

Yes, but see it anyway. In all honesty I will tell you it is one of the best things we have done for our marriage. I cant emphasize enough how amazing this movie is.

It isnt a tear jerker like someone dies tear jerker. Its more of an "omgosh HOW did you know my life" its one of those things that you just relate to. Even if your situation is different the emotion is the same. The feeling of "Ive been there" is so strong in this movie.

It prompted DH and I to sit in the parking lot and talk for an hour after the movie. We delved into some areas we had never talked about before in our 15 years together.

There is a Bible study that we will be doing in our church after Christmas, I have pushed really hard for it.

This movie matters.

Is it a tearjerker? Yes Please see it anyway. :)

Is it a tearjerker? Yes Please see it anyway. :)

But Binneeeee.... I have enough migraines already. I seriously don't need sobbing migraines. They're the worst. Is it really worth a sobbing migraine?

I avoid tearjerkers, especially at the theater. So I was glad for the thread about Fireproof earlier this week. Even people's positive comments warned me not to see it at theater :).

It sounds like it is a good story, though, that has a lot to say to husbands and wives. I will probably watch it when it comes out on cable.

It wasnt a bawl your eyes movie. It was more of a dribble tear movie, KWIM?
DH is prone to migraines too and while he sniffled, he didnt get a migraine. It would have been worth it if he did (he said it not me). I think you'd be ok Barb, just bring your charger ROFL

If you wait for it to come out on video so you can watch it at home thats ok too :) You can sniffle in the privacy of your own home ;)

You'll be ok. and you wouldnt be alone for the sniffling.
It is one of the only movies I have been in a theatre for that everyone stood up and clapped at the end.

I have been out of the loop as far as movies. I didn't even know about this movie...it looks real good..I think I want to see it. I have no problem crying at movies.

I had a couple tears run down my cheek while I watched the movie but in no way was I sobbing and some movies can really get me going.
I thought the movie was very good.

If you don't like sad movies, then don't go see the movie below (highlight to see spoiler). I didn't know it was sad and I took my 47 year old sister who had just lost a friend of hers to cancer. Boy, did I feel bad.

"Nights in Rodanthe"

Fireproof is more than a tearjerk movie. It touches on many emotions: anger, sadness, humor, guilt, sincerity, honor, and more ... I thought there was a roller coaster of emotions running throughout the movie.

Yes, the movie made me teary, but I wasn't fully crying by the end.
