Fire - Post 31 UPDATE

Well. Mother came screaming at me at 3 in the morning.

As I looked through the window, I saw huge orange flames coming off the roof of my neighbours home.

I was up since 3 and i feel sick from all the smoke.

The 60 year old man and his wife got out, but he went back in to save the dog Rex. Alas, it could not be found and Rex is in a better place now. The cat was found alive on the driveway, but flopping around madly.

Ernie (the man) Was black with soot and had severe smoke inhalation. he is now in critical condition at the local hospital.
On his wayout he was talking about it being on Sunday, which shows mental problems which is a sign of severe smoke inhalation.

I was interviewed for the news and the pictures were given to police, detectives, arson cheifs, firemen, news and friends of the family.

Our entire street was up.

The house is a complete write-off.

Damage is estimated at $500,000.

If its arson, everyone is going to be afraid because we dont want our lives to go up in smoke..

Anyone ever had a 3 alarm fire raging near them..?

What scary pictures! Pixie Dust to the brave man trying to save his pets. Hope he gets better fast. Fire is very scary- our neighbors lost their house 10 years ago but was not arson. (Hugs) to all involved

I had a fire in my apartment once... thankfully the cats woke us up and we were able to get out, and the fire department came before it got majorly out of control (we tossed blankets over the fire to smother it as we left, was the wrong thing to do, you should just leave, but the blankets slowed it down enough for the fire department to finish up the job). Burned the kitchen up pretty bad though.

Oh wow, Magic! How scary! I am so happy to hear that all people made it out ok!

I have to tell you, though, how very sad I am for Rex.

My husband and I are dog lovers and we have had the "what would you grab if you had to get out" discussion.

We have both said again and again that we are not sure we could make ourselves leave, no matter what was happening, without Zorro, our rescued pup. He truly is our kid.

Rex, I will hug my "boy" for you today and although I never knew you, you will now be in my heart forever. Zorro will play in the sun today for you! Our heart goes out to you and there is no doubt that you are waiting at the Rainbow Bridge to greet your human companions someday in the future.

I just noticed that theres a ghost orb at the top of the first picture.

Its not the moon because the angle of the shot would have the moon behind me/ there is no moon in any of the other pictures

A barn burned down at our house Last Sunday. I wonder if the animals got out... Anyway I am soooooo sorry, and sending Pixie Dust and Prayers to everyone around you including Rex and the man.

Oh my! I hope Rex and your neighbor both get alright. Hopefully it was something like fault wiring rather than arson. Last year, the neighbors behind us and diagonal to the left had their garage/barn go up in flames. It was 2 story and looked a lot like the pictures you posted. I know I was scared because it was windy that night and the sparks were landing in our front and back yard. With all the bushes and trees we have, I was afraid we were about to catch fire too, but thankfully not. Besides that one, four houses within a few blocks of me have caught fire in the past year and a half maybe. Down the street is going through the reconstruction mess right now. Every case was faulty electrical wiring.

Hopefully this wasn't the result of arson. There has been a string of arson fires around here lately. Luckily no one has been hurt by them and they're not in my part of town.
