Does anyone know if a solo stove with a spark cover complies with the Disney rules for fire pits?

There is an approved list of fire pits in the pinned Resort information at the top, if it is not on their list, then no .

Hard to say, but the specific rules are fire pits with solid covers so you might actually be fine.

Where has anyone been able to purchase a firepit that is approved? I am in Canada and I have been searching for a pit that we can use for our trip in Feb and I have had no luck. Anybody have any links or ideas where to get one?

There on amazon, sears and wallmart, search outdoor fireplace. Seams to give better results but they aee about 150, usd. You could try to get on on this here https://www.disboards.com/threads/a...fire-pit-round-2-try-it-again.3705137/page-24
Depending on your stay and of you dont mind sharing, that is if it is still around! I figure ill use a fire pit less at disney, I'll probably be too tired from the day. My original back up plan was to modify a propane one. But im still not sure if i want to haul the extra stuff. I also havent tested it. Lol. Propane should be alowed but isnt. Ive not seen flying embers and brans from propane. Oh well. Good luck!

By spark cover you mean just a wire grate, according to the rules, it needs a solid top. How far they enforce it idk. If its a stove just have a peice of bread next to you and say you were cooking?

This was my idea, but not sure if the top( its just really a cover) can take the heat. If i can find a street sign, or some other type of grill top i might take it. If not i may try it at home and decide. There good for camping with fire bans as there allowed, just not at disney:confused3

We suppose to be a traveling fire pit somewhere at the Fort. Not sure if it has gotten lost in the shuffle.

To expand on the propane idea, i fired it up it does off gas a little. The paint is burning off the inside of the lid. No big deal, i burnt most of it off, hopefully ill have time to pick up some eazy off oven cleaner. Strip the paint , and hit it with 2 coates of high heat paint. Ill also paint the screening material. Worked great otherwize. If i can finish it by Saturday, it will go on the trip.

From looking at the flier at the CS, the flier for the approved fire pits says provided as and example not limited to just these types (pictured). And the propane without a solid cover that would expose a flame is not permitted. That’s just from reading into the flier.

If I found the right stove and spark cover thinking no. Its a mesh not a solid top.

I thought the stove they were referring to had a solid top, that is why I was thinking it would be okay. If it has a mesh top, then no.

There are 3 different styles but all I have found is this.
