If we watch fire of the rising moon at 9:30 would we be able to find a good spot for fantasmic at 10:30? Also, is it weird that they're doing FOTRM and no regular fireworks?

Standby for fantasmic. Everything I've read on the Internet just says the second show is easy easier to see, but doesn't have a lot of other information, like, "it's easy if you're standing over someone's shoulder waiting to pounce?" Or easy like, "stroll in right before the show starts with no problem"

Something in between the two. You don't need to pounce, but most days you can't stroll up just before the show starts.

When are you going and how many people will be in your party? Will there be anyone in your group that will have a difficult time seeing if they are standing behind someone else?

The first Fantasmic show ends at 9:27 pm. Some guests leave at that time. Many stay to watch the fireworks which run from 9:30 pm to approximately 9:45 pm. After Fantasmic is over, there is a mix of people leaving ROA and some trying to get closer to watch fireworks. A large number of people leave after fireworks. They are directed to exit via Adventureland.

If you are in SWGE and hustle as soon as fireworks are over, you can get to ROA before 10 am. However, it is very dark and there are a lot of people moving in all directions. If you aren't familiar with the area, it can be difficult to not get pushed in the wrong direction.

We have 10 people not I don't think they will all stay for fireworks.

I just did the opposite. 9pm Fantastic and then hoofed it to SW:GE for the fireworks. I was only a little late but it was hard to move because of all the congestion in the area.

Your plan might work though because of the extra time you would have. (45 minutes after fireworks are done before 10:30 Fantasmic starts vs my 3 minutes. 😂)

Yes, it is very congested, especially with the ropes up around the standby viewers.

Did you watch from the Millennium Falcon or from another location in SWGE?

You must have really hoofed! Isn't there only three minutes between the shows? Which route did you take to SW:GE?

I wanted to watch it from the Falcon but I'm not as familiar with SWGE in DLR as I am in DHS. So I ended up right in the square by the First Order Tie Echelon. Firework views were perfect and there were speakers right by the ship so the music sounded great. Next time want to try by the Falcon for sure.

I went from Rivers of America straight to Frontierland as if I was heading towards Big Thunder.. stayed to the left and they made us do a U-Turn if we were going into SW:GE and then went straight there.

On my phone, my last Fantasmic video of Sorceror Mickey's finale starts at 9:25pm and my first fireworks video from SW:GE shows 9:33pm. 😂

They made you turn because going straight leads to Fantasyland and that was closed for the fireworks, right?

Not the best, but I tried to fit everything into one picture.

Numbers 1, 2, 3 show the three taped off areas where you can watch Fire of the Rising Moon. 1 is near the Milenium Falcon. 2 is by the Tie Echelon and 3 is by the Droid Depot. I've never watched from 3, but both 1 and 2 have good views.

The blue rectangle is where the dining packages sit.
The red line shows how you leave SWGE to get to ROA
The teal line shows the long route from SWGE to ROA - past ROTR and Bayou Country
The purple line shows that the early show is guided out via Adventureland
The pink arrow shows that guests coming from Main Street enter via Frontierland. Note that many guests watch fireworks on Main Street and then enter via Frontierland to watch the 2nd Fantasmic show.

Congestion gets bad where red, pink and purple meet (around the Mark Twain and Golden Horseshoe).

Note, I would not have known it was a Tie Echelon if not for this thread. https://www.disboards.com/threads/best-non-ride-experiences-at-galaxys-edge.3948544/post-65570970
