Fire in the water at Fantasmic/Pyro?

I attended this past Saturday's 2nd/10P showing of Fantasmic. I was disappointed that the show when without some of the normal pyro (Sparks from Mickey's fingers at the beginning of the show, and the Dragon/water on fire scene when Mickey extinguishes the flames. I'm hoping that there was a technical glitch or something, and not another Disney bean counter move...Can anyone verify? Thanks!
