Fire in Oven - Twice!!

Yes that's right I have managed to catch my oven on fire twice tonight. Apparently when I baked a cheesecake the other day, butter from the crust leaked in the oven. I put the first fire out and wipe it out when it was cool. I figured I better go ahead and do the self clean option on it. Guess what? It caught fire while cleaning. All I could do is turn the breaker off. Hopefully it comes unlocked when it cools off. I just need to go to bed. The house is a wreck from all the toys and now I'm trying to burn the house down. Thank goodness dh is at work. I could just hear him saying if you would stay off the dis boards long enough.

Yikes! I set my oven on fire once, scared the you know what outta me!! Glad it wasn't worse then it was.

Sorry! I'm not laughing at you, I'm laughing with you. I caught my toaster oven on fire too! I was toasting some toaster pastries and after I took them out, DD started shrieking, "FIRE! FIRE!" I just blew the fire out.

I was talking to a friend of ours and they said she caught her oven on fire twice, at her family Christmas dinner party!

The coil in my over actually sparked and split. I ran down the basement and turned off the circuit breaker. This happened to me twice too.

Ours just did that! Scared me half to death I tell you!

Luckily it was easy to replace.

Oh I did that at Thanksgiving. And to think I used to cook so well.

I started a fire in my oven yesterday. But only once.

My 7 year old was upset that he didn't get to see it. Poor boy.
