fire escape ladders

We need to buy one for our vacation home. Can someone recommend a good website, or perhaps a brand, with ladders that are rated well. Is there some sort of "fireman-approved" rating?

I bought my son's for his college apartment at Walmart. It was highly rated and seemed sturdy enough when I looked at it. Of couse he is only on the second floor. Not sure how far you need it to go.

A Google search for "fire escape ladders", "fire escape ladder reviews", or "fire escape ladder ratings" provides plenty of information.

The one form WalMart, the First Alert EL52-2, comes highly rated.
