It's smooth sailing for me too. I just finished the quest for my kid in 3.5 minutes.

I thought the staff didn't want us to post the answers? I mean i did this quest without using spoilers at all becase frankly, you don't need them for the weekly quests. The whole reason that the non-weekly quests are so hard are because staff know that we use spoilers anyway.. I know if i made a quest that i worked hard on, just to have people post the answers within minutes i would be extremely furious..

I agree with Captain. Yavn specifically said that we aren't supposed to do spoilers, yet here we are with spoilers. Even I could do this quest without help. If we want Yavn and other staff to continue to grace our board with their presences, we should respect their wishes.

DIS is only a small part of the VMK players. It's hard to believe those wonderful Disney people would make the quest hard for everyone just to get back at a small group of people, that is rather petty.


Why make a quest at all, you don't want people to complete and win it?

Well, actually... Yavn did not specifically say we were not supposed to use spoilers. He said the use of spoilers upset him. So, we can all agree that Yavn doesn't like spoilers. But, until VMK values are rewritten to state that the posting and use of spoilers is prohibited, then there is no reason not to post and/or use them at the discretion of each player. Yavn was really just stating his opinion, and, as much as we like and respect Yavn, his opinion does not govern the content of this board. Hope that does not come off as snippy, I don't mean it to.

Well seeing their has been some confusion over posting of spoilers I will not be posting any quest spoilers in the furture untill we get a more clear answer from VMK or the Dis Mods on this Subject. I have only done so, because others before me have posted and i have used their help to guide me in my quest when i was stuck and did not want to spend 5 minutes on Google. I wanted to thank the Dis VMK Community for the help they have provide by giving back. I will be glad to help in the future again, but only after this mess over YES we can OR NO we can not Post Spoilers is Cleaned Up.

Perhaps there's a happy medium in there somewhere.

The regular Thursday weekly quests have never been overly difficult.
Most people if they can't finish it, can usually ask in the game and finish.

But those "event" quests, like High School Musical, the Cat, Dog, Tron....those
quests required details from movies that many people hadn't even seen
before, and the answers weren't readily available for most. I don't see a
problem posting spoilers for really obscure quests like that.

I do think VMK did "punish" people for posting spoilers by making the
fireworks score 280k for the green car quest. If any of you recall,
the original score was not that high. It changed to 300k (actually impossible
for the BEST players) after the spoilers were posted everywhere.

Spite? Perhaps. But if we only post spoilers to the once-in-a-blue-moon
quests, not the weekly quests, I don't think anyone should really have a
problem with that.

I agree that the spoilers for EVERY quest have gotten a little out of hand
otherwise.
