Fins Comment On Dream Month

without seeing Fins exact words I cant be sure. I get a different read than most of you are on the subject. To me she is not saying she is sad she cant reach more people, to me she is saying she is sad the same people are preventing them from reaching more people.

I let this topic float more because without the exact words we cant be sure. I was just surprised most people seem to conclude the way they did.

That's how I read it too. So either great minds think alike or we are way off base.

I know I hadn't seen a host all month. When I was logged into vmk there were long queues to get into public rooms, I'd get a pass and go visit the rooms I could get into before my pass time. I was amazed at how many instances I'd see mules of the same people. I'm sorry but I just didn't understand that mentality. To me it just showed greed, especially when I saw this one person's mule in at least 6 different instances.

Well, assuming the paraphrased conversation is reported accurately, then the "Aengus Interpretation" is the only logical one.

Why else would Fin preface that by saying "do you want be to be honest?"

If it were simply a matter of wanting to have visited more rooms and more people, why would she ask this?

It was because her remark was aimed at the actions of many multiple-time winners who utilized clones to increase their personal chances and thereby flooded rooms where the hosts were directed to go or stalked the newest Castle Suites to appear on the list, filling those rooms and getting more and more pins and ears in place of others who could not enter the full rooms.

I have not heard from any other Moderators for a long time.

Anyways it is not unfair. The people that got a lot of ears were the people that spent a lot of time on there. I may be a little wrong but the people that were on the computer forever got more then the people that did not. Those people deserve it.

I don't think the hosts did any favoritism in the giving of items.

But, just because a person was in vmk a lot doesn't mean they got a lot.
My poolcue was on maybe 5-6 sessions less than cteddiesgirl. But he only got 1 pair of ears and ct got so much more.

I do think hosts may have been saddened by how things went.
But, I still think it took a lot of luck to get anything.
I had 3 characters up and running at the same time several times during the month. One character never got anything. The other got 1 pair of ears and my main got lots more.

It was still basically luck of the draw. Even if there hadn't been mules running all over the place, I still believe that there would have been many people without anything.
It's the same as with the Sparrow costume. It's completely random as to who gets them. A person just happened to finish the game at the right time.
During Dreams month, a person that just happened to be in the right place at the right time got something. Those that weren't, didn't get anything.
And for Sparrow, you are competing against other players for the 5,000th (or whatever it is) winning code. If you didn't get it, someone else did.

I do know of some people who's main characters got a heck of a lot more than me. They just happened to be in the right places at the right times more than me.

I am very saddened that many people didn't get anything. But I'm also saddened that many people still don't have Sparrow, or Stitch or Inferno or many other things that are quite unreachable by most players.

Is what happened any more different than a person who buys many lottery tickets every week for 30 years and never wins but a person who buys 1 ticket for the first time and wins the jackpot?
The person who buys many may have a better chance, but the person who bought only 1 still had better luck.
This is what random is. And luck has a big hand in winning.

Well ...I would also like to say that I totally agree I think that Host did an awsome job! I really think that they did read our Dis boards before they let us know and as the month on tried even harder to find the rooms of earless ones! Espically the lst few days they were even making them just appear in the inventory. So you be I thinkk they did a Fantastic job!

As for the Dream Castle Rooms... I think there was favortism going on! But I agree... just take it for what it is...there are things I want that others have and I am ok with that!! I love the game...and figure that maybe I will be able to get it another time. That is what Disney is all about...Dreams...so maybe my dream will come true one day to get the Dream Castle room

But what i did like is how with so many people oepning rooms...I meet alot more friends and that was cool!! So yes.. I truly would like to thank the Hosts.. I really think they did a fantastic job!!

I just want to say, some of us have to work and cannot be on all day like some. On the days I could I tried to be on as long as possible, but I have children who also like to go on. My children and myself did not get anything at all for dreams. Nothing. People said hang around guest rooms and public rooms and stuff but it never happened. I think what should have happened was that if someone got dreams stuff then the next time around they weren't eligible for dreams. That way you wouldn't have people with six pairs of ears and other that tried just as hard, like me, with nothing. I don't think there was favoritsm but I would like to know how so many people "just happened" to be in the right place at the right time when that never happened for me and my children when we did everything we could to be there.
